..........and then she just drives off??
...even the people filming didn't get too excited...I don't think I'd be starting up a vehicle that that had just happened to.....

Truckers sometimes use Kerosene to wash their trucks in the winter...but that's ALOT different than actual gasoline. Maybe that's where she got the idea?

Seems staged to me. Why would someone be right there video-taping?

I suppose you are correct. I just cannot fathom someone being that stupid. Amazing.

I'm going with the Dementia concept.

If that were the case, it's too bad her family members have not taken both her keys and car away from her. She will end up getting lost somewhere, or even worse, getting in an accident injuring herself and possibly others.

Very true. Perhaps she is alone. Either way, it's sad as well as scary.

Not very safe but I bet it de-iced her windshield pretty good.

Unfortunately, having dealt with dementia (still dealing with it), one cannot simply take the keys and car away. If the person then says they are stolen and goes to the cops, you technically DID steal their car. Only legal way is to have police and/or a doctor do it, however, getting them to do so is very tough.

My grandfather was an alcoholic with dimentia. We had called the police when we knew he'd be leaving the bar and they claimed there was nothing they could do about it until he did something wrong.
It got to the point he was driving through peoples yards and whatnot. Got pulled over once after leaving the bar but blew under the legal limit somehow. Ended up getting t-boned at an intersection (not his fault) but that got the car taken away to the body shop. Shortly after this he decided public urination was a good idea and got turned in and given an ultimatum, which led to the doc taking away his license and finally diagnosing the disease.
