Codes popped
I just finished with my header install and after a warm up got a few codes, P0420 bank1 & P0430 bank2..I installed long tubes with a Y-pipe with resonators and a Magna flow catback as well as a SLP lid and blackwing filter with a smooth bellow...what Iam seeing after googleing the codes it seems to me that the removal of the cats and replacing them with the resonators is causing the codes!! Will I have any problems running it until I send the PCM to Frost? Also can the Tune take care of this problem... After all the work I need to drive it a bit

Your fuel economy will suffer and you wont make max power but you shouldnt have any long term negative affects from driving with the codes present. All its saying is that the rear o2 sensors are reporting a problem with the cats. And since you have no cats or rear o2s...well...i wont insult your intelligence

Agree. Those are catalyst efficiency codes that have absolutely nothing to do with how your car runs. The front O2's control fueling in closed loop operation. As stated, your fueling will probably be off just a bit, and you would see this in your STFT's and LTFT's. Make sure to have your rear O2's "tuned out" -- all this entails is changing the error reporting code so that the SES does not light up.

Thanks for the info, I didn't think by what I read it would be a issue just wanted to ask to be sure. Weather looks great for the weekend so I can't wait to try it out

The Nostalgia Nationals is probably the absolute best show to come to at the Beaver.

When is that? Did you run your car this weekend? If so how did it run? Drove mine today I giggled like a little girl my first two shifts up the road.. My wife was laughing at me as she went on the test drive, so when we hit back road I went through 3 good shifts and I got to laugh at her holding on to the door handle!!lol

July 14th and 15th -- with the show being on the 15th.

Not too bad -- ran a best in the 12.6's this weekend. Still have some more to do and would like to see some low 12's by the end of the season. It was a great day to go for a ride - especially with new pipe tunes to enjoy!

Yep. Got an email with 6 pics. I sent a quick reply, but it seems to be stuck in my Outbox. Very clean looking ride and the exhaust looks great.
