Black- 2009 GMC 5.3
Top End Kit
I have a 2009 5.3 Gmc Crew cab, I am wanting to put somewhat of a hot cam and good performance heads on for more power, but still want it nfor a everyday driver, any thoughts on this would be great!!

02 zo6 cam and ported stockers would be good, and be undetectalbe. If more cam is wanted then the tsp 224-228 range with 114 lsa or wider might be better for your needs.

5.3's had a diff casting # than 243 cant remember but my understanding is they had higher comp and flowed about the same when ported.

It was to my understanding when gm went to an all aluminum 5.3 on the newer trucks they came with the 243 or 799 heads. But id considet getting a converter too. My friend has a circle d 3200 in his gmc truck. With the 224/228 .581/.588 cam out of my old 5.3
