repost from train last night!
Seriously though, I lol'd at the fact their most important priority after the crash was putting the cover over bumble bee. Whoever got the first couple shots of the Camaro probably made some good money.

casue it was dead... the fords that were near by would circle like vulters waiting for the oppertune moment to dive in there... the mopars would just wait for everyone else to have their turn... the toyotas and hondas would buzz around making fart noises to distract the fords and mopars and then take a picture and post on thier forums that they had killed a camaro... in the mean time jenny craig has been working with GM in hopes to get a contract to shave some weight of them fat ass camaros...

They were covering it because it's bad publicity. They weren't trying to hide the car itself (as people were watching/recording/photographing it anyway), but instead trying to hide the damage to the car. An unintentionally wrecked stunt car doesn't look good for the studio.

I have to say it (Camaro) did well for the impact. Didn't look like there was a lot of energy transferred to the driver of the Camaro, can't say the same thing to the SUV. Driver had minor injuries, then again he wasn't wearing safety gear like the stunt driver.
Wonder if the studio is going to sue for ruining their production shoot? Doubt it and the cops can't site driver for failure to yield because it was a closed set and he wasn't suppose to be there.
Anybody else see that the local LEOs seem confused in regards to if it was a stunt or a real accident?

If you replay the impact a few times in succession you can momentarily see the front passenger wheel of the SUV snap back as it catches on the front of the Camaro, before returning to a relatively normal position.
I noticed the front wheel of the Camaro locked up, do they not have ABS as standard on them, or is that because it's a stunt car?

I think its because it's a stunt car. Having the wheels lock up makes it easier to slide and spin out on turns.

at least it wasnt the Red Italia behind the camaro that took it to the chin,
they need to incorperate this event into the movie somehow IMO
