Depends on your goals.
If you wanna be cool you drive a WS.6
If you wanna be a homo you drive a C5
Oh, sorry OP, that must have stung.

I agree 100%
C5 Base has alot more features the F-Body doesn't (IE Range, MPG, Tire pressure, etc...) The WS6 looks alot better IMO! The Vette will out handle out the box but won't outperform straight line (From my experience) It all depends on the driver/owner and what you want. I find Base model Vettes to be boring looking (Nothing against the owners) And to people picking on IROC, his Iroc looks damn good for its age and when running would be a rare 3rd Gen considering (To my knowledge) hasn't had any body work and such

C5 is smooth and sexy, WS6 is in your face aggressive. I hate pop-up headlights either way. I don't know, I think I like the way a C5 looks better than a WS6. A WS6 with a Raptor hood and lowering springs, however, beats a base C5 for me. Making it almost as good-looking as a Z06
ya follow?

[]D [] []V[] []D- 1999 trans am
the c5 is built far better than the ws6... not half (if any) squeeks and the panels all match up even after 10 years... the c5 doesn't look as aggressive as the ws6 but is an over all better car... c5 all the way...

WS6>C5 in my opinion. Yeah, the C5 is better built, probably handles better and all but that's a completely different topic. Just off of looks alone I'd probably go with the WS6.

2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
A WS6 will ALWAYS look better than a C5, no matter what.
Performance wise (stock for stock), the C5 wins there...51/49 weight distribution (trans in rear), suspension is better, and they're lighter overall.
Looks aside (I would buy a WS6 roller over a C5), the grain that tilts me towards the WS6 is the solid rear axle. For straight line racing, nothing beats it.

to me a C5, and a C5Z06 are completely different animals. The C5 IMO looks like a grandmas car that bought it only because of the name "corvette" A Z06 looks like a damn beast. Of course I have an asshole like everyone else.....
Boring
Ready to go
WS6 Looks most agressive to me

FRC Corvettes look like crap. The roofline does not follow the rest of the bodylines. The stock Z06 wheels? Not very pretty either. Scoops in front of the rear wheels? Dumb. I think a base 00+ C5 looks better than the Z06 does, by far. But NOT better than a WS6. The Trans Am, and especially the WS6 has all kinds of functional and nonfunctional scoops all over. Normally I would balk at something like that, but it works!
