it's a great platform to start out with. if drag racing most go with an auto, with a large stall.

Well, for now its my dd and hobby. I'm selling my 08 tacoma xrunner to get out of payments but I still want something with plenty of gonads. Somebody told me that the 6 sp trannies were crap, is this tru.

If you don't mind me asking what are the stock # for a ws6. Now I was reading another thread that stated that the 6 sp can't handle much more than stock power, is this tru. Reason I ask us because if u buy the car I want to put a s/c on it shortly after purchase.

VW BEETLE W/ FLOWER- 88 CRX
4l60e will crap out early without a few upgrades...and the rear diff if you have too much grip t56 can handle mods...not a serious amount of power but plenty for street

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
FYI, the last year Formulas were offered w/ WS6 was 2000.
The weakest link in the drivetrain, as was said, is not the T56, it's the 7.5" 10-bolt rearend. Then next, the clutch, although in '02 the clutches were improved (Z06?). Until you get a 9" or 12-bolt rear, don't worry about the T56.

yep the 6 speed manual is way stronger than the 4L60e in stock form.
