My encounter with NY Mustangs
As is known by many around these parts I took the hawk out to soar among a herd of ponies. I didn't have my photographer with me...... Looking at you Lawless.....
so I just used my cell phone camera. not the best pics but it's something... enjoy.

to get my stance you need strano springs and drag bags I have the bags filled to like 30psi. It's lower than stock in the rear but higher than just stranos and the spring rate is higher because of the bags as well.
Yours and mine.
My rear suspension as it looks today.... tomorrow is another story

I think I'm gonna just do Konis and stranos all around, I actually want to wait and see what my exhaust clearance is gonna be like once I get my exhaust done by ARH. Then I will know if I want to lower it or not
But the stance on your car is definitely better than mine.

You have the power I have the chassis....
so it'll be like this....
I was cruisin' in my Firehawk late one night
When a WS6 pulled up on the right
And rolled down the window of his well kept Bird
And challenged me then and there like a herb
I said, "you're on, buddy, my mill's runnin' fine
Let's come off the line, now, at Sunset and Vine
But I'll go you one better if you've got the nerve
Let's race all the way
To Dead Man's Curve"
Dead Man's Curve, it's no place to play
Dead Man's Curve, you must keep away
Dead Man's Curve, I can hear 'em say:
"Won't come back from Dead Man's Curve"
The street was deserted late Friday night
We were buggin' each other while we sat out the light
We both popped the clutch when the light turned green
You shoulda heard the whine from his screamin' machine
I flew past LaBrea, Schwab's, and Crescent Heights
And all that I could see were his honeycomb lights
He's far ahead at Doheny then I started to swerve
But I pulled her out and there we were
At Dead Man's Curve
Dead Man's Curve, it's no place to play
Dead Man's Curve
Well - the last thing I remember, Doc, I started to swerve
And then I saw the bird slide into the curve
I know I'll never forget that horrible sight
I guess I found out for myself that everyone was right
"Won't come back from Dead Man's Curve"
Guess you should have bought those springs and shocks when you had the chance buddy

sigh.... just wait till I have my 4.11's and you don't we'll be at least even
I'm seriously thinking about the MW stuff you were talking about. I'd like to do some more HW but getting the rear of my car finished is pretty much the object of this season. A complete package with the watts link and TA sounds like a straight bolt in solution that i'd be happy with. still... not as pretty as the moser 9 inch lolol

Until i get my 4.30s, can't get traction, and slam into a wall
Go MWC, I'm definitely getting my rear from them, it may seem pricey, but you get a lot for what you pay for...
Send the guy a message like I told you or call him, he's a very very helpful and knowledgeable guy.

I have done that before.
Although I wasn't the only F-Body...
I imagine you were one of the faster cars there??
Anything really badass out of the Pony group? There is normally always at least one.
Quit your bitchin about the 4.11's/4.30's/4.56's you pansies.

I was seriously not one of the fastest there... a LOT of termis and 05+ shelbys. Enough SC whine to drive a man crazy.
although I lolled at the Fox's and SN95's
my buddy thought he'd be slick and wedge open the IMRC's on his 98 cobra. The cables stretched and now he can't keep em open.
For those not in the know. IMRC = Intake Manifold Runner Control. Basically the 4v 4.6's act like a 3v motor at low rpm < 3000. This improves low end torque and is why they have basically a torque plateau from like 1800 rpm to redline. He regrets doing it now because they won't open so he remains a 3v car and falls flat on his face past 3k. I hope he gets it fixed though... it's a nice car and i like the DOHC 4.6
The aluminum blocks are known to handle 1000hp with ease....

Amazing how the LSx can kinda drown out the blower whine...
Sounds like a fun meet! Always nice to have fast cars get together.

yeah they were a welcoming bunch. It was a dry meet so they are a responsible bunch as well. After the BBQ at the lighthouse a bunch of us went out for seafood in the area. Montauk is one of the biggest fisheries in the country. had some AMAZING clam strips and everything else was so good looking I might make the 130 mile drive just to go eat there again some time. F-body cruise perhaps?

NYM is mostly an awesome bunch, there are a couple of idiotic ignorant fanboys, but that's to be expected. Most of them are cool people.

The Attias flea market used to have car shows every weekend. The entire parking lot would be full. Nice pics. If I come out on Sunday I will bring a camera.
