Exhaust Installed
Over the weekend I installed the Flowmaster American Thunder catback and am very happy with the results. There is a noticeable difference in the throttle response and acceleration during take off and during cruising speed and it sounds awesome. This was a good purchase.

Is it a true catback or just the mufflers? Either way, that is great. I just recently posted that I've only done the K&N CAI and the Magnflow catback and I dynoed 371 rwhp, considering stock is about 350rwhp for a stock LS2, that's a true 20+ rw or more. I can feel how quickly the motor rips thru the rpm
s now, incredible change, I'm sure you are feeling the same. Did you do an intake mod?

It is a true catback. I have a K&N CAI as well. That was my first mod to the car.

Those are some damn good numbers there. I've never heard a gto with flowmaster in person but have on youtube they have a nice little rumble to them. I just changed mine out last week from the spintech pro streets to the SLP loudmouth 1 best sounding exhaust ever. I'm running long tubes no cats and a yank PT4000 stall trust me cops will be following you with this set up lol

Nice Derbs, I had the SLP LM1 on my 99SS Camaro, it was awesome but had a terrible drone at around 1800 rpm, awful for just cruising the hwy at 70mph. I guess the GTO doesn't suffer from that problem. I got the Magnaflow, which seems to flow great, the x-pipe was great looking, and the shotgun pipes straight down the middle looked great. The con is, it doesn't sound like the LM1, not even close, has a nice deep rumble but is tame; I like to convince myself it's a refined sound...
lol

There isn't much drone cruising at hwy speed(70) but yea at 1800-3000 with that stall its crazy but thats how I roll
