I've never haggled at that high of a price before. I don't know the proper tactics for how much you go down and where you want to set your middle ground, etc...it's nice to see an MD interested in something that isn't made in germany though.

I just looked around on eBay a little. There is a dealer selling a brand new loaded 3LZ for just under $71k.

And here are a bunch listed on AutoTrader.

Is "new" a must? Previously owned with low mileage makes a HUGE difference in price on these cars.

Why not get a 2009 Callaway Vette for less money and more HP?

Someone told me that the newest zo6 actually came with removable tops. I know this wasn't an option in 07. Test drove an 07, Probably could get her for 46k but it's of course, all hard top.

83k is too much for a an 09 z06....
you could buy a slightly used gallardo instead.... (which is the wiser decision)

I haven't heard of the removable top being an option on the Z. I know in years past, the reason for the hard top only was due to structural integrity needed for that car.
With little effort, he wouldn't pay $83k for a 09 Z.
I did a little looking at Gallardos and all of them in the $83k price range were 5-6 years old. Not saying that's a bad deal for a Lambo. But IMO it's not all that wise of a decision to look into especially with the maintenance costs involved with a Lamborghini.

My buddy's father just bought a brand new 2009 z06 from a dealership in Arizona and he paid only a little over $60,000 for it.
Sounds like some dealers are making more money than others.

the 83 thousand dollar z06 is more than likely the fully loaded every option z06.
you can get 09 z06s with none of that bullshit for in the 60s though

after all the rebates and dealer bs they have now i have seen the fully loaded ones go for between 66-70. i have seen a brand new one with lesser options go for as low as 62. some people get really good deals
