Black- BLK TA modded 12.2@113mph
Engine swap
How hard would it be to put in a 6.0 l engine in our cars. I can get a 6.0l out of an Escalade with 50 000 miles for 1000 bucks and maybe sell my ls1 engine for the same price.
Is is possible to be done easily and is it worth the effort plus would it give me a lot more out of my car. Do I need to take the trranny out of the vehicle 2?
Thanks again for your help.......

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I know it's not exactly a bolt in in the sense you have to transfer the oil pan over and the reluctor for the timing is different. May be some wiring differences also. Search around. There may be a write up on it somewhere around here.
I'm no expert on this. I'm sure others will chime in.

It's either an LQ4 or LQ9, it's been done a number of times. Depending on your LS1, would not sell it for less then $1,500. Hold hard enough, someone will pay that.
Also, my local salvage yard, sells the LQ9 engines for $500-800. The block for $200.
