Question about a CCW / permit
So, I've got a CCW from when I lived in an apartment in Georgia. Since I got it I moved into a townhouse in Georgia, over to an apartment in Utah, back to GA where I bought a house (and it's now sold).
I currently live in Florida for another week or so and will be moving to Virginia.
We never changed our GA driver's licenses and when we move to VA we'll get new DL's, change the car insurance, etc. Bottom line is we'll be VA residents.
My CCW is good into 2010 when it will expire. The address on it is from the first place we lived in (townhouse). As stated, we'll be VA residents with VA driver's licenses.
My question is, is the CCW I have still valid until it expires, even though it was issued in GA?

Good advice. I already did the transfer paperwork and had it approved to move my supressor up there, so i'm thinking they're okay with CCWs as long as VA recirprocates with GA.

Good luck with the COMMUNISTwealth of Virginia? The people at the courthouse in my area hate them and I have heard the Chief of Police will actually try to prevent you from getting one and really looks down on machineguns and suppressors? IDK I'd like to get one of those AAR sup for a Sig Mosquito? pretty cool

When you submit paperwork for a transfer of location for Class III (?) items, the BATFE looks at the local municipal codes where it will be moved to prior to authorization. Chief may not like it, but if it's not breaking local ordinance/code and the BATFE authorizes the move, he can pound sand.
Mine is a .22 for my Walther P22. Using subsonic rounds makes it sound like an air rifle, albeit it's still not as quiet as the movies.
