1949 Ford Anglia - Patience Is A Virtue - Anglia
Bob Brown is a patient man, but it's paid off and now he has the Anglia he always dreamed of.Quick Inspection
'49 Ford Anglia
Bob Brown * Topeka, KS
Powertrain
Engine: Currently, it's a GMPP ZZ383 crate engine with RHS heads topped by an Edelbrock Vortec Performer RPM Air-Gap. It's fed by a 750-cfm carb with a Proform main body with Quick Fuel bowls and metering blocks. Bob says that'll change soon to a much angrier small-block.
Power: There are no solid numbers on it, but the ZZ has been good for an 11.97 at 122 mph while scalding the tread off a set of street tires.
Transmission: Bob loves an old-school stick shift, so a '69 Muncie four-speed with a Zoom clutch is his box of choice.
Rearend: A shortened Chevy 12-bolt is fitted with Moser axles and a Detroit Truetrac differential with 3.73 gears.
