radar detectors... worth it? do they really work?
Hey guys waht is your opinion on these things??? i have been debating about one for some time now, what is a good brand? and do they really work?

yes they are worth it. I know and have seen the valentino in action (i was driving a car with it) and it is good. If u have the $ i would go with belltronics, they make some really really good ones. I bought one from radio shack for $100 and it worked great for me. I knew of some company that would actually pay for the ticket if you get cought with their radar detector (dont know which one)

Rocky Mountain Radar is pretty good... Has a 'scrambling' feature included as well. Both of my grandparents have them and I take them from time to time.

I have a 940 from Beltronics. It save me from 5 traps over Thanksgiving wknd.
I would love a V1... but $400... maybe with my tax return.
