what CANT your T/A beat?

well me and a buddy where cruising in his 01 a4 ws6 when a SC '04 svt rolled up. my buddy made the fatal error of revving up and challenging him only to get his doors blown off because he didnt know any better.

is there a thread dedicated to what cars you should AVOID messing with if you have a stock or near stock ls1 f-body? if not, let this be it. stories are always great,

p.s. just got my very first ls1, '98 t/a with 350hp slp performance pac and aftermarket ws6. this could help me out too

I do not avoid messing with anything, I would rather get my assed kicked by a termi/vette/oprah than not at all.

You win some, you loose some, just remember there is allways someone faster out there.
There are alot of things that come into play to include the driver.
Just have fun with it and use that as fuel to to the fire when it comes time to mod.

if you're talking about roughly the same class of car, then only the termi could beat you. but if the termi driver isn't the greatest you could beat them too.

well i know the guy with the termi, thats how i know its an '04 and a manual, and the guy, hes a REAL good driver so, yeah.

and yeah thats my thing too honestly, i just wait for someone to get smart with me, but i figured for those who are more agressive but have egos they dont want too compromise, this could be a helpful thread.

Fight the good fight, take the wins as they come . learn from your losses, and admit to nothing.

Picking a fight that you know you cant win, is like roller blading in the snow it's useless and hard on the equipment.

If and when you do race , on the street or track...I recommend the track, know your opponent ,don't go into it blind, it is ok to ask about him or his car, or just watch a few or his runs or matches, and if you know your car, LIKE YOU SHOULD.
remember before you put your reputation and equipment at stake , just run you car hard enough to barley beat him,
there is nothing more satisfying than barley beating some punk, just to have him go and spend his whole paycheck on his car ,plus the bet he just lost to you, just to try to beat you ,
and then coming back a week or so later and you beat him by the same distance again.


What I am saying KEEP AN ACE IN THE HOLE and never let anyone see your hand, win loose or draw, never run your car all out unless you know for sure that you have to .

yeah run em all !!! i have raced vettes turbo neons bmw's and a porshe boxter beat all of em except the vette gave me a good run but i got him he had a 03 z06 stock. my car isnt though so you have a good leg up on most stock stuff but you wont always win good luck .

I had some good runs a while back. Some sort of audi sedan. Had some real power and handled well in the curves, but i raped him in straights. He said it was a 2.0Turbo. I was impressed. Had a run in with a turbo 300Z but i was out of gear when i heard him spool up-kinda pissed about that.

I run whoever, whenever.... Have not had too much experience on the track. I know their are some fast cars out there. I have been lucky enough to not get my ass handed to me yet....

Well....I have taken a Cavi (wussy), a Minivan (Doofy Dodge driver wouldn't let it go) and a Porche (Gave me a thumbs up afterwards). I have yet to have my ass handed to me in the T/A (I did in my GAGT by a SRT8 JEEP), but I am waitin for stiff competition. I drive it like I stole it......sort of!!

watch out for them convertible 3rd gen eclipse's! i got beat by one long time ago when my car was stock.
nevermind the fact that car was supercharged>.>
since my mods. which are real close to ls1camino's (i think only difference is my heads flow more and his cam is bigger.)
i have not been beat. so far my best run in has been a new cobra and c6 vettes give me the best show.

What heads are you running? AFRs? Cause honestly, I don't think there is much out there in the "budget world" that will flow better than these.

i haven't gotten to run anyone yet. before i got the car i saw muscle cars everywhere, now i have it and its like the dissapeared, its sucks. i cant wait though
