No trunk release button?

So my stepmom just bought a 2001 Camaro...we live 80 miles apart, and im kinda busy, so I havent seen it yet.

anyway, she just called to tell me theres no trunk release button. not on the lower left dash, not near the shifter, not in the glove box.

anyone got info on this?

May have been an option. My 01 Camaro has power everything trunk button under headlight switch.

yeah thats where ive seen them in everything newer than 98.

i dunno what options it has, but i didnt think you could strip it that far

you can my car doesn't have one!
I DON'T have ttops, power windows, power door locks, power seats, traction control, power mirrors

Mine has:
push button traction control
power mirrors
power windows
power locks
power trunk release
A/C that will freeze you outta the car
the only things I DONT have are:
LS1 and leather power seats

my friends moms z doesnt have one either. its a 2000. if she wants the hatch open, she HAS to use the key. She has NOTHING power. door locks, or anything.

yeah, i just text her asking if she has power anything else.

like i say, i dont know shit about this car, its a black 01 3.8, thats it.

Good question dobe.

If she has a remote Spikito, it will be the "x2" button on the remote. Tell her to press it twice.
