Sebring Silver- 2000 CamaroSS
Tried that once....had a helluva time holding on to the engine while I was buffing it!
From what I know, a rough surface will dissipate heat better than a smooth one.
Don't know of any "real" problems with it though.

I'm building a show/weekend driver and debateing on polishing and painting to the exterior body.
(honda 1.5 4 cylinder) and lol I know its a honda motor, so no I'm not building it for performance.
polished valve cover, intake, tb, intake tube and header....gloss black engine compartment, just trying to decide on the block and head

well they say a rough surface dissipates heat better b/c there is more surface area due to it not being flat......is it really going to make a difference if you polish all of your engine....no....you will be fine
