Built-in Garage Opener
Ever since I've gotten my 2000 Camaro, I have been wanting to mod things to make life easier and less cluttered. Why should my garage opener be an exception? I want a smaller footprint for an opener. I was wondering if anyone know if there is some kind of built-in garage opener for like a visor or something else? Something like some of the Ford cars has. Let me know or give me a link please. Thank you in advance.

Find a blank spot in the dash, buy a momentary switch. Take apart your garage door opener. Mount it inside the dash, run a wire to it to the momentary switch...

You could try buying a newer rear view mirror that has a built in garage door opener. Something like this:

Of course, if it was me, I would probably just keep an eye out on ebay for a cheap used one. Or maybe try a junk yard. I'm sure one out of a newer late model GM car shouldn't be too difficult to hook up.

Bikes do it all the time... Just drive up and hit your lap timer or your high beams and bam your door comes up... With a resistor it can be hard wired and you could buy a button or use and existiing funcion you wouldnt normally uses near your house...
hell you could pretty easily wire up a home link out of a caddy im sure... then it woudl look factory...

THAT'S IT! The one in the visor. That is exactly the one I am looking for. I will probably wait and watch on eBay and see if I see this as well. Thank you guys!
