all lowering kits ive ever seen for camaro's are between 1.5 and 2 inches. theres a guy that everyone seems to recommend on here. Bilstein maybe?

check the suspension subforum. they usually have a few threads similar to this one. no offense but this is for camaro topics in general not only for ss owners

i used an Eibach LT1 Prokit to lower my 2000 SS. The reason I went with the LT1 Prokit over the LS1 Prokit, because they have a higher progressive spring rate since they are made to handle the weight of the LT1 cast iron engine. This way, the front wouldn't be too low and really make speed bumps and steep inclines an issue. still lowered the car between 1.25-1.5" all around...

I am using hotchkis springs and koni single adjustables. The drop of the springs is advertised at 1". Its a little more than that. Antoher spring that people are happy with are strano springs. I recomend you talk to Sam Strano. He can attend to your needs.

Dark Blue- 1999 Camaro Z28
I used the Strano 1.2 springs and combined them with the 4/4 Koni's.
Went to Sam Strano ad he explained me everything about the shock, springs and installation. Together we pre-set the shocks. I installed everything myself and I'm very happy with the result. The car sits nicely low and the car is actually still quite comfortable to drive...
This is how the Camaro sits now:

SOM- 1998 T.A.
I have Strano springs with Koni shocks, Strano sways and UMI adjustable PHB and love it. Eibach springs are a little soft and hard to damp so you are the bumpstops too much IMO. Stranos give a 1.25" drop and Sam only has small runs made up so you better get them while you can. I think he is getting a new shipment of 100 sets any day so give him a call. He is a sponser on here so look him up.
Oh, he has won several SCCA auto X championships on these springs too so they are not just an appearance mod by any means.
