Have had my 98 T/A since new. Have maintained car rather well. Tuned up in summer, 140k miles, throws no codes other than codes when I unplugged the air pump/secondary. MAF cleaned, new front 02's, PCV, Fuel pressure 58 psi. replaced thermostat last week.

Only mod was an SLP exhaust.

Idles great, runs great, excellent power. The exhaust is quite fuelish. I drive 90% freeway. I have a combined 18.4 mpg. I do not rag on the car or drive over 80. I was getting 24-26 combined last year.

I have torn this car apart looking for a reason she is running rich.

Is there a specific "tune" or scan that I could look to for an answer? I do not want to go to a dealer. I hate someone else wrenching on my car, but I think it is time.

you took off the air injection system? do you still have cats on the car?

Yep..

Ordered on e from a salvage yard in summer and that one was toast. Mileage was still decent then, but got progressively worse as it got colder. Ordered a new air pump a few weeks ago and still waiting.

With 140k on the car, do you recommend deleting the cats or replacing if I delete the secondary air? With 140k, I believe I am due for fresh cats.
