Red- 1998 Z28 Camaro
1998 cammed ls1 ticking on cold start
I have a 1998 Z28 Camaro and I have just finished overhauling the motor and it has a brand new bottom end with a brand new aftermarket cam and lifters. The problem im having is that on a cold start the car ticks very loudly from the top end area. It has brand new Texas speed valve springs that are able to handle the lift of the cam and idk what else it could be causing this noise because it drives me crazy. It quiets down once the car warms up but you can still hear it very faintly. The car has no check engine lights and the engine doesn?t miss a beat. The cam is a summit 8701r1 cam and I don?t know if this is normal or abnormal and help advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
