The Lincoln monument and all that shit was closed when I went. And we didn't care to tour the whitehouse with ole billy Clinton. So it sucked.

I liked it last time I went. I love the architecture out there

I hate the cold too, but I really don't have a choice of when I'd like to go out there. Just when we have the opportunity. It's hard with my school and him being in the army. He's still Going to be working most of the time out there. Hopefully this summer he can come back home on leave for a bit

Pls excuse spelling errors... On phone lol

The Lincoln monument is my favorite! I love the reflecting pools and just the sites..... And in related to Lincoln so it just pretty cool to me and my family.

What's really cool is going to the arlington cemetary, my boyfriend was one of the guards of the unknown soldier tombs... And the sites from where the kennedys are buried is breathtaking

It's up upon the hill. But you can see the best parts of DC from it. The monuments and stuff. That's what looks so awesome.

The only things we are going to do outside the apartment is like go see movies, go to the shooting range... Maybe some museums... And maybe a free tour of the capital.... I think he has some plans in store but he wants most to be a surprise.

I'm taking him out to dinner for his birthday, and making him a very good breakfast. Most of the time I'm there we just want to cool out with each other. Cuz we don't know when the next time we will be able to see each other again

Also sorry to hear about your adventures of the public transit system he has a car and also doesn't want me to get put in possible dangerous situations while I'm out there
Oh I see what your getting at, well cool, was just warning you, a lot of dc noobs come out here and get lost + end up somewhere that they have no buisness being around and get robbed or something stupid like that, i've heard it happen many times.

Talk about dangerous situations, I had to get on the train alone to go drop something off at my grandmother's house last year (parents thought i'd be ok, obviously not), i was in 10th grade and ended up getting off at the wrong stop, i was stranded in the ghetto for about 5 hours until i found someone who would let me use their phone so my mom could come pick me up. Don't want that to happen to anybody, especially a non-local.

Ohhhh that sucks! Yeah I hear ya. I def don't want to get stuck in the ghetto out there. My bfs real protective over me. That's his biggest concern while I'm out there is my safety so I hope all will go well! Thank goodness for gps and iPhones to make sure we dont get lost. He's been stationed there off and on a few years and has learned the area alright.

If I got lost and out on my own I'd know I'd be gang raped and sold to some pimp or something .... Not cool!
