Okay...I just ordered a nice lil Cold Air System for her...good for 27.22 additional ponies....now I'm at around 532HP Hmmmm most catbacks are good for about 15-20 more HP that should put me at about 550HP. I should be done then.:flex:Quote:

I've heard of some pretty good gains on the Ls7's with a computer tune.

Well..it just so happpens that my dear sister lives in Florida, and I haven't seen her or my nephews in quite some time. Not to mention that her husband pissed his pants when I told him of the Z06 lol He drives a highly modded 350hp at the rears 240SX. Not a bad car if you like Rice Pilaf. ( I know he'll never read this so.....)
They live in Melbourne. Ever heard of it? Or maybe it's Melborne, anyway, maybe if it's not too far away....what am I talking about, if I'm going to drive the damn thing across the entire country, I should be able to go a few extra miles to get it tuned!
Make sure you contact the tuner and get his recommendation on what supporting mods to do first. That way you can maximize his effort and your tuning dollars.
just so you know i'm in love with your car, a local dealer has one on the show room floor. totally beautiful car but they want $90 K for it.

Give me a break! No one pays that price, these are nice cars, but I hate to tell you, they're not that nice. I offered them $68k and they snatched it up. Came to a little over $75k with tax and license out the door.
Notice how I managed to work the word "snatch" into the sentance.
See if you can do that during the course of your day, you'll be a better man because of it.

That's a thought..I got received the K&N Cold Air intake from UPS yesterday afternoon, going in today! NOT that it matters, but I didn't realize they include a dyno run sheet with our specific cars (not just a Corvette, or Camaro, or whatever) but your car's actual year and model [Z06] and show the results at the rear wheels.Quote:

I probably won't do the tune until I know I'm finished doing my tiny mods, so it'll have to wait until I do the Cat-back which really is just a glorified noise maker, never really intended to make anything than more "music", but I might get a few more ponies with the tune.
I installed it in about an hour, took her out for a short drive as the streets were still wet, as always here...didn't notice too much differance, but again I wasn't able to really put my foot in it. The real Carbon Fiber looks good on the filter element though I must say.
The factory system looks to be extremely restrictive in design, once removed.
vette air + kn.... remove your muffler fuse and a tune.....i added arh 503 rwhp NA
with a fat flat torqque band......there are so few who can ring out the zo6 stock it make very little difference if you modify it.....traction will always be an issue even stock
my 08 Z smoked my 540 rwhp GTO......nature of the beast......the Zo6 is a real bonafide race car for the street. c'mon 200 top end....yeah where is the logic in that.
at least in the GTO ( its done up exteriorly) i don't worry so much when i park it....the z06...everyone knows and is jealous.....you are driving a car that hangs and beats

Point taken..my own Tuner told me there was very little there to wring out.
I'm also finding out that no one messes with me in this car. While I was driving the SS Camaro, everyone wanted a piece of the action from Mustangs [of course] to SSI's to you name it. But in the Z06, if someone comes flyin' up along side of me, it's just to look at the car.
Yeah the same....i'll seea porshe in the rear view flying to catch me...once he gets alongside...( cause i let him) he backs off....
they know who the lead /alpha/ dog is.
