I saw someone on ls1 tech who got the license plate from altec products. Its a retractable plate. Emai them and ask them about the plate.

I checked it out and it looks like it only works for corvettes.. Thanks for the tip though.

I was thinking that but I dont think its going to fly in Cali.. they said it has to be mounted on the front bumper.
The guy that had this had an SS. So it does fit. He mounted it to the air dam. I don't see why this would not work in california. The plate is in the front for people to see. Its either that or the SLP license bracket. Search their site for it.Quote:

The cop was being a dick and made it a mandatory court appearance and I have to have it sign off by the bailiff or court clerk. I dont even have any priors for this.. what ever just not his day

In Illinois you have to have a front plate also, but I have never had one. Got a fair share of tickets for this. I still dont have one on my camaro. Since I work for the city and must follow all the rules to the letter, the city has what they call inspectors go around checking our vehicles for plates tinted windows ect...Quote:

But I had to think bout twice cuz cops trip alot for that shit. That law is so dumb.
The other day I seen a car it had alot of smog coming out of the exhaust n there was a cop next to the car. N he was laughing cuz of that

the point of the front plate is so they have a place to point the laser from the speed gun.
at least that's what they use it for in ohio.
the front plate completely ruins the look of the car.
