You can review your answers by clicking on the magnifying glass icon. 96 and the ones I missed were because I stupid clicked. I do a lot of online training for my Toyota Master Tech certs and this was harder than most.Quote:

I took it twice, first time I just skimmed through it without much thought and got an 86 I think. Then decided to take it again about an hour later when I saw the thread again, and took my time on it.
BTW, I'm an A.S.E. L1 Master tech, Land Rover Certified Tech, graduated from an Automotive/Diesel Tech school in '94, and been working on cars for a living since I was 18..... So I've taken many various simular tests thoughout the years. ;)

They say the answer is C!???? wtf?
the piston moving down is creating negative air pressure or vacuum. we can't have negative air pressure, so a charge of gas and air comes rushing into the cylinder, By the time the piston arrives at BDC, the air pressure inside the cylinder is equal to the air pressure outside the engine.
so to me, it is a result of both B and C. it's one of those questions that you see on ASE tests sometimes, where 2 answers CAN be correct...but I'm no scientist.
I got that one wrong too. There was a bunch I had to guess sizes of the gears and things on. They looked different than what the really were.

Sort of a trick question but suction is like dark or cold. It doesnt exist, its the lack of something. (Lack of pressure, abscence of light or heat) Sort of like your gf sucking you, its the lack of something (brains) allowing a higher pressure (yours) to fill the empty space. SimpleQuote:

All the gears were 10 or 20 teeth if I remember correctly...the electrical questions were like beginner beginner beginner questions to. All of it was very simple math. I got worried on that one with the fulcrum and lever where the one weight was far to the left. Air moves from areas of high pressure to low pressure...everyone knows that!

The answer was C because, in a standard automotive definition, "suction" does not exsist. There is simply degrees of pressure, the lowest being an absolute vacuum... there is no negitive. So yea, higher pressure equalizes to lower pressure.
But yea, its bullshit, because suction MEANS what happens when a high pressure and a low pressure interact.
I got an 88% but i would have answered the one question about the 4 cyl. engine wrong but since you guys were talkin about it i picked the right answer...

I got a 90. I think the one with the multiple pulleys did me in. Most of that was just common sense/experience, I think maybe the older you are, the better it might play.
