I have had K&N's since the 80's,,,,never had any issues at all with them. I check them and clean them about every 10,000 miles or so if necessary,,,no big deal. It sure beats running around and buying paper filters all the time,,,,seems you have to stop at 3 places before you find one in stock,,,that gets old in a hurry.
Just like anything else though,,,,over the years other manufactures try to copy, duplicate, or improve on a design,,,and there may be better ones out there by now,,,but I see no reason to change after all these years,,,,K&N has been good to me, no complaints here.
