http://na.llnet.cdn.ea.com/u/demos/Crysis_SP_Demo.exe
You going to need a good computer.
nvm then... what does it take to play games on a computer?
mine was a real cheap one. i got 896mb of ram, and an amd turion 64 processor. do i need to just upgrade ram? do i need a new processor, a specifics video card, audio card, or any other types of cards? (im not the most knowledgeable about computers)

Thats the System requirements...
i'm BARILY squeeking by and i've got a decent computer as well
AMD FX-55/2.5GB ram/8800GTS/Creative X-Fi
I'm loading it up on vista right now i wanna try out my DX10 card for once
ATI Charming, if you can build a computer newegg.com has some great deals going on right now, if you dont know how to build a computer i'd be happy to either A) build it for you (you just pay shipping thats it) OR i can walk you through it.
Either way you need atleast a dual core CPU 2GB ram and a High end DX10 GPU
and i gotta have vista for this? i got xp... i know vista slows ocmputers down cuz it uses way too much ram, or processing speed, or w.e.
You can build a good solid machine for around 800 dollars, Crysis does not Require Vista however if you want DX10 graphics you'll need vista, ED is showing DX10 there, DX9 is just more along the lines of not having as much detail.
and building a computer is actually rather simple, just gatta make sure you do everything right, so you dont short out the motherboard or anything else.
Who are the Enemies?
In computer graphics, antialiasing is a software technique for diminishing jaggies - stairstep-like lines that should be smooth. Jaggies occur because the output device, the monitor or printer, doesn't have a high enough resolution to represent a smooth line. Antialiasing reduces the prominence of jaggies by surrounding the stairsteps with intermediate shades of gray (for gray-scaling devices) or color (for color devices). Although this reduces the jagged appearance of the lines, it also makes them fuzzier.
Another method for reducing jaggies is called smoothing, in which the printer changes the size and horizontal alignment of dots to make curves smoother.
Antialiasing is sometimes called oversampling.
lol it'll take me 8 hours to download that... crappy dsl.
Downloading now
Usin the wireless on the laptop looks to be 1 hour download time.

how do i check if my system is comparable?
My computer is fucking sweet. It has blue light up fans and shit.
You can put that sweet shit on your box too.
But make sure you have the hardware to back it up.
Otherwise you're no better and a stock Honder with neons :typer:
Yea i thought you were on vista for some odd reason either way, i TRIED to play it on my system in DX10 umm yea, 5 FPS al though the Graphics OMFG amazing!
for those of you wanting to see if your system can run alot of the games out this helps out a lot just keep in mind if it states your CPU doesnt make it
example......it says it needs a 2.8Ghz CPU single core, chances are you can play it if you have a 2.4Ghz any lower it may get little glitchy, but hey this little app helps out alot

My laptop plays it great....
4gb ram
nvidia 512mb Quadro 2500m render card.
I just ordered a new CPU for my desktop found a great deal on a AMD X2 so hopefully things will go better with the gaming and video rendering
I'll be having an FX-55 chip for sale soon!
Thinking about upgrading to this...
Newegg link
Would be able to keep everything else, but should help over the San Diego 4000+ I have now.

thats what i upgraded too. Make sure your MOBO will support it though, my board only needs a bios update
i thought about that one as well luos, i reviewed some of the benchmarks of the CPUs and the 4400+ is a bigger bang for the buck just because of the L2 cache

well actually NOT that big of a difference N/M
Hmmm....I didn't see a Manchester on there.

Looks like they are similiar.
I will save the $30. :yup:
