Would 25 hp be about right ?
10-12 rwhp
I'd say the lid will give you about 6 hp, and the cutout will give u about 8 or so over the stock muffler.. so to be safe, id say roughly around 15.. i was in this dilemma once, but i ended up getting headers with the cutout... i saved money since i knew i was going to get the headers anyway.. thats what id suggest
what would it be If you have lt headers then an ory and the lid and smooth bellows
15 RWHP range Randy :yup:
GM rated them at 325 at the crank .... so MAYBE being generous 345 at the crank after....id go more with 340 though
its about 345 flywheel stock for an '01 so i would say 360 flywheel hp after lid/cutout.
put it on the dyno
See Sig
Screw the dyno, put it on the track before and after the mods.
Dyno #s equate to bragging rights, they don't equate to how fast a car really is.
Track times equate to how fast a car really is.
You can have 500 HP at the motor and still run 13s.
i was just telling him to dyno it because he was wondering about HP numbers....ur 100% right though hp means shit at the track....but if he wants to get the most accurate way to get his hp he has to dyno it....we can guess all we want....not everything equates to wut it says it will
hows it possible to run 13.1 at 82 mph.....
ahhhh i was guna say haha 13.1 is around 108 no?
Could be. 104-108MPH.
Normally runs 12.0's at 117.
