alright guys heres the scoop i got me a 99 ss with a 137k miles, runs stong but i just miss having a stick car so i bought one lol.
its a 02 ss 30k miles 6 speed leather chrome Zr1's all the shit, and its a slp car, :nana:
picked it up for 17k
oh and its pewter

lol pewters to the rescue lol, i have to be hones i wanted a nbm ss with a 6 speed and somewhere around 17k but couldnt find one and pewter was my 2nd choice, but i do love white camaros but my other 2 are white and if i got another one someone on my street might start thinkin something lol.

lol, pwtr seems to be one of the most liked colors IMO, but i always wanted a white TA but when found my baby i had to grab it. and pewter is not commen really, whcih is a good thing...

Honestly, I don't think there is a Camaro color I dislike. If it was feasible, I would have an SS in every color from the factory and a few custom paint jobs as well :D
I wouldnt mind any color besides red.

okay everyone here is the deal with the new car after looking up all the numbers and researching it.
its an slp altered car!
has black wing intake
auburn carrier, had the gmgg cat back but was removed by the previous owner,
also has a 12 disc changer and the in dash cd player,
and also has bilstein shocks and subframe connectors.
i am pretty sure this is a full slp car, stage 2 possibly , has the 241 heads and i also grabbed a flash light and mirror and looked at the block casting numbers and according to wikipidea it has the ls6 block,
the car is perfect, pretty fast, llooks amazing i need to post pics asap, i will soon.
and i love the 6 speed, why didnt i buy a 6 speed car for my 99?

those are just the best heads and f body came with stock, best flowing and were cast different as well from the 841's i believe
could you tell me where you found the codes? is that on this site?
I wanted a NBM, but I found my red SS for 12,000 with only 46K miles. After owning it for 20 months, I love it in red. haha. I love pewter too. actually, to think about it, I love them in all colors except gold.
best color of all of them is the purplish-dark blue/ grey color. but they only had that on the LT1 's . really wished they brought that over to the ls1

and what codes are you referring to, the cyl head codes and the engine block cast #'s?

Dude- I actually dont have bad piston slap. The problem was my car had 3 plugs gapped way to large(a shop put them in and didnt check the gapp apparently) which caused misfire which in turn caused the car to sound like it had terrible piston slap! I am happy as hell! At cold start its like barley a tap and it goes away in 20 seconds. I was really concerned untill I got new plugs with the correct gap.
nice i definaetly think i am goin to put new grannatelli wires and tr55 plugs! asap
Dude I would go with MSD 8.5mm wires-they are really close to the Granatelli wires and cost $60.00-not $150.00! LOL -I went with those and NGK tr 55's. O another suggestion is gap them to .040 cause .060 is too large. Also those plugs are supposed to be pre gapped but as proven by my car(which a shop put in my plugs and didnt gap them) they arent always right. I am sure you already know this but just in case I didnt want you to go through any problems like I did.
also to add since plugs are around 19 $ and wires 70$ ws6store has them for like 70 if bought together as a combo, im getting mine this week

hey guys, was just reading your posts about the msd wires and plugs, and was wondering what the benefit of upgrading to them would be. my car has 36,000 miles on it and i asked gm about a month ago and they said i didnt need to change them(the spark plugs)for 100,000 miles. i know gm is full of SHIT when it comes to maintiance or anything aftermarket, so i figured i would ask yall
oh yeah, 02 ss, 345hp package w/cme, k&n filter, diablo sport slp power tune and 373's
I think with that low milage you are fine on the plugs/wires. Wait until she starts to idle rough until you fool with any of that. Although I wouldnt let them go to 100,000 miles they are really good plugs. As far as benifits go-the MSD wires have a lower resistence then the stockers-thats about it.Quote:

mine is an slp car to. slp #2946. the stick feels a lot quicker than the auto doesnt it : ). i went from a 97' auto to my 02'm6. i know i went from an lt1 to ls1 but the big difference was in the tranny.im still not the best stick driver though, but i love it. would never go back to an auto. r u gonna do the drill mod?
well having an auto for DD,is best, but i just got bored, i love driving my old camaro around with its 4 speed, then i got a 99ss with auto and it was faster yeagh but i got bored, so hence the 02 , if i watch the speedo i know its not faster but if i just feel the car it feels like it has more hp.
and for the drill mod, apparently 01 and 02 cars have the better revised master cylinder not really requiring this mod, so no, i know my car is stock but my clutch feels amazing, all my buddys like the way it feels compared to theres, they say it has more spring and engages smoother! i dunno, unless i have a problem getting it into gear then negative on the drill mod!
i thought all the master cylinders had that restricter, where did you see/hear that the 01-02 came with a different one? not doubting you just would like to know to ease my mind. :think:
