that is THE first "mod" I did to my car, about 2 days after driving it off the lot brand new. :nilly:
I went with 20% all the way around. I waited about 4 years before doing it and now wish I would've just done it right away.

hell yes...they look awsome...mine came with 20%'s on it...which is illegal HERE... :D so I just decided to have them redone to more legal specs...still looks alot better then a FishBOWL!!!...
it's almost mandatory for a place as hot as down here...specially with leather
Living on "The Surface (Valley) of the Sun" (Phoenix) makes it imperative that you have tinted windows.

How could you not have tinted windows? It's only a ricer thing if you use gay colored tint.

I have had all my cars tinted (except the two cars I have now) oddly enough.
I do plan to get mine done eventually.
One of the first things I did.
5% on the back window and 20% on the front two.
5% all around on mine, can't imagine why anyone wouldn't tint unless their state is a stickler about it.
Tinted windows are awesome, except if you do it ricer style, like some gay reflective green shit.
tinted all the way, to 5%. totally illegal here but I've NEVER seen anyone stopped for it. so if you ever get stopped, put your window either all the way up or down so they can't see the contrast.

How is it done? Just like a peel on sheet you put water under to slide around and fit? Do you have to take the windows out of the door to do it? How do I find my states legal limit?
... you go to a Professional...and have it installed...and ask him he should know the legal limit...if not...ask a random Cop.. LOL... I know it sounds funny but they'll be able to clue you in...Quote:

I think tint is a must on any car. Mines illegal as well and if it weren't there wouldn't be much point in doing it. Tint is makes our cars that much better. It's always my first mod. Mine cost 175 on a car with 5 windows so I'd think 3 windows should be cheaper.

It is one of the first things I do with any car I purchase. I only regret two things... 1) I put 15% all around the firehawk. I like the 20% on the G6 for night driving. 2) I don't like the 15% tinted strip across the front windshield. I made sure the G6 get it!:nana:

Absolutely. I live in MD and I have 35% all the way around, with 5 in. strip on the front windshield.

Got pulled over about a week ago. I have no idea how dark the sides are but I'm guessing 15%. They are darker than my other car that has 20% but it might be cheap tint.
