Okay, I'm sure it's been debated in these forums over and over. Anyways, I was just hoping someone could point me to a place where I can see some strengths and weaknesses of each.
If you could just point me to a thread, website, or post your thoughts here. Thanks for helpin a new guy :-D.
a stock z28 will destroy anything
the ws6 is about 5 seconds slower in the 1/4 then a ss camaro. It was a lil known fact that the camaros had about 50 more horses.

Not a whole lot of difference that I know of. Mostly cosmetics. Some people think the WS6 looks too tacky, others think the camaro is too plain. I personally think each car looks great.
the differences amount to appearance. The entire drivelines are the same. Theres probably minor weight differences between the 2.
Its my personal opinion that the ws6 is a way nicer car. they look higher end inside and out. The interiors are better and that hood is one of the best looking hoods ever on a production car.
it's all the same engine dude. an ls1 is 345 hp stock. you loose maybe 25-30 hp with stock exhaust. Each car had different handling appearance options...but for the most part they all perform the same. sooooo it's really no contest
Thanks you last two, those are the kind of opinions I was looking for. I knew they had the same engines, just didn't know about everything else.

the ws6 has suspension upgrades tho, so it will out-handle a z28... however, the SS is the equivelant to the ws6
here:
firebird=camaro v6
firebird formula and trans am=camaro z28
trans am ws6=camaro ss
on a somewhat related note...just looked up quarter mile times for ls1 vs lt1...average ls1 quartermile=13.4 average lt1 quartermile=14.0 thats a pretty noticeable difference!
the stripper Z, and the formulas are really the "fastest" because of the weight differences if you really want to nit pick about things

to settle the arguement once and for all, everyone knows black M6 ws6's are the fastest f bodies by far. its the black paint, gm researched it and its about 100 times more aerodynamic and better looking than every other color, so a black ws6 has no problem running in the mid 12s stock and in the low 9s with bolt ons

Funny because I just watched a STOCK 95 Z28 A4 last night (street tires and his best was 14.5) No way tires make up 1.54 seconds in the quarter mile. If that was the case LS1's should be 11 second car with drag radials? just ain't gonna happen.

I know when me & my brother had these cars, I had a 02 TA WS6 A4 & he had the 02 SS A4 both SOM in color & we raced from a dead stop twice & we both had great take offs & I won both times in my WS6. They both had 5,000 miles on them also & they both had the SLP lid, his did have the SLP dual/dual exhaust but other than that, nothing else different. When driving the SS, it always seemed to have more punch than my WS6, but when racing he could never take me?

yeah that was tight. i did along the same lines with my 93 grand prix but we never did the spoiler, but fully painted it and made a fully non functional hoodscoop. we had the stuff for the spoiler, but then i was thinking "my luck i'll be driving somewhere, the damn thing will fall off and kill someone and my ass gets sued"

The ram air isn't really that effective in stock form.
Although I think the WS.6 is actually lighter than the Trans Am. Not sure what the hood is made out of on the regular Trans Am...but I know the WS.6 wheels are lighter by a small amount.

you take a regular ta and put a ram air hood on it and the ws6 dont stand a chance...........................because i done itand it works
