:confused::confused::confused::confused:
never heard of it, got a link?
http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=195&catid=46
looks to be similar to slp loudmouth just wondering if anyone had heard it before.
thanks rich
$225 it's on the cheap side for a catback, not heard of it before. but Borla or Corsa are really good. $600-$800 range. :dunno:
You can go to http://www.ls1sounds.com to here some video clips of them.
I have the TSP rumbler and I love it! It was a piece of cake to install and has a deep rumble to its sound. When I ordered mine I did it with out any tips because I had a set of B&B quad tips that I put on.
I've heard of it. Lots of people say its as loud as a loudmouth, bu it doesnt have the rasp the LM1 does. If you've got the cash, go for something else. I have a feeling u'll hate it down the road.
Ive got and love it, (sweet thunder mufflers instead of dynomax bullets though) docile at idle and loud as hell at WOT.
I have the true dual X pipe rumbler setup and i absolutly love it... I never get enough compliments for them...There awesome at idle and i have a very lopey cam (111+1LSA) but when you get on it...IT MAKES A RACKET!!!! But sound sooo good not raspy and obnoxious like the loudmouth.....I would definatly get them i havent regretted 1 min of having these on my car....And the drone isnt bad either...
Heres some picts of my true dual setup i hope it helps man...

Regret going under the axel tho huh?
I just got mine but havent installed it yet. I'll let you know how it goes
I think I've seen this guy post on this site... if its not this one its on some other ls1tech site. Anyway his silver LS1 is forking gorgeous saved the pics to prove it, very envious! As chance would have it the one day I listened to this clip and fricking fell in love with this sound, just happened to be the same car and with the exhaust I think you're looking to buy.
I hope the link works... http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...11292ec30d.htm
Fudging unreal, if you're thinking of duplicating that exhaust I only have two words "DO IT.... DO IT!"
*f* word used :cuss:
better ?
yes sir ;)
I think it sounded about like the Magnaflow with Lt's and ORY. Very similar anyways. That's what made me go the Mag route for my catback. I like the way it racks when you let off the gas. Definately a bitchin sound.
I love my rumbler... a little obnoxious at WOT.. only thing I would change is to have thhe tips of thhe muffelers to be angled differently or something to give a little more ground clearance.
I know this thread clearly says texas rumbler exhaust, but I was thinking of getting corsa ORY put on my LS1 when I get it. I noticed that there is tonnes of interest in this thread so I was hoping htat maybe I could pick up a few opinions here.:Ot:
scratch that, after finally looking into sounds, prices and setups more I'm leaning more towards this exact setup. TSP seems to be more my style. My question is do you guys know what kind of tips come with a TSP rumbler cat-back system... if any at all...
It dumps before thhe axle... doesn't get to the back.. you'd have to custom fab something to do tips. I thought I'd hate it... but I actually like it.
I love it too.
X3 or 4 or whatever we are on now. dumps right after the resonators. On that note sounds wicked when you drive through water. OOPS. But it does...LOL. Just keep my foot ON it so to kinda keep water from coming up in. Seemed to work anyways...
lol drivin through water.
I love revving the shit out of it under over passes! Sounds sweet!!
get a lot of looks to when you do that don't ya. I know I do...
HELL yeah.. I've freaked out a lot of ricers.. :) They start the "Ricer fly-by" And I hit it under the over pass and I've seen them slam on their brakes, and one even swerved to the point he almost ditched it.. LOL. SOunds AMAING with the t-tops off too!
:yup:
Pacesetter LTs, Ory, and Texas-Speed rumbler catback.
Every day on my way to work, i go through like 4 overpasses....gun it as i go under, sounds like Nascar or something lol. :worship:
The TSP rumbler catback is awesome. You have a choice of 2 kinds of tips...I got the oval magnaflow tips, but they also have Ractiv Tips (the ones in the picture on their website).
I love pipin' people with my exhaust...specially ricers and senior citizens hehe. Just talkin about it makes me wanna go and set of some car alarms lol.
:nana:
Cam/Lt's/Ory/ and i have the tsp rumpbler and it sounds pretty damn good, for the price nothing else can compare to it. Kinda wish i would have went with there true dual system because my y-pipe and exhaust cost me 350 and the TD's only run 450.
Yep.. the duals are nice... and I set off so many alarms just idling goiing past thhem.. and if there is a 4th gen parked next to me.. all I have to do is start the car and it goes off.. lol...
So heres a weird question for you guys, I'm from Canada and so there isn't as many stores up here for aftermarket parts and what not as you guys have down in the states. Having that said, where do you think I could buy a full TSP setup like Pacesetter LT's, TSP ORY, and TSP Rumbler Cat-back? Like is this setup only readily available from TSP in Texas itself or can you get it anywhere?
Also another question, you say that the TSP Cat-back exhuast dumps before the axle... personally thats not something I want on my car (not for the look I'm going for). Does anyone have a picture of this? and any ideas of what kind of fab. job you would have to do to complete it back to the exhaust moldings in the back?
http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/ Nuff said. :) And I believe only the true duals dump.. the cat back goes all the way.. doesn't it?
thanks for the link, but I'm still a little unsure if I can pick up these parts anywhere other then Texas? Anyone else have some information to share?
They ship them... came right to my door.. :D
catback is like 225, and it goes all the way out to the bumper. Tips are optional. Has a dynomax bullet in the i-pipe. No "real" muffler lol just straight through design.
I will try to get some pics today...cars dirty though since its been in storage for over a month.:brick:
if dirty cars bothered me i'd keep mine cleaner :mel: i have no idea what that smiley is supposed to represent... i thought it was pretty funny though
Alright got some pics finally....Got off my lazy bum and washed my car
Ok I have a question. If you do a True Dual setup, can you pass emissions with it? If so, how? Sure would beat going with an expensive cat back.
Its made with an x-pipe to hook up to long tube's so i'd say no unless they make ones that can hook up to your cats.
I heard something about being able to weld cats on. Not sure if this hold true or not. Im just weighing options right now since its probably gonna be a while before I get my exhaust done.
the TSP rumbler only comes with dumps at the rear axle, or at least when I bought it that is how they cam, you could cut the dumps and extend the piping all the way back and put what ever tips you wanted on it.
Cats can be welded on if you wanted but as long as your state does not do the sniffer test then all you have to do is delete the rear o2 codes cause most states only check the pcm for codes to be thrown, usually if there is no code then you would be ok. But I would ask around and see if they do the sniffer test first.
Im thinking about welding up heat shields to the ORY...I dont have an emission inspection... just so that when I take it to a shop they wont say anything. :dunno:
the tsp rumbler does go all the way back right? it shows tips in the pic on there page. but the guy a few posts above keeps saying that they dump before the axle?? why would they offer tips if it dumps?
The true duals dump before the axle. The catback goes all the way out to the bumper(with tips).
so where did all you guys pick up your TSP Rumbler cat-back... I'm looking to pick one up but I don't know if the shops up here in Canada supply TSP... any inputs?
Order from Texas Speed yourself have it shipped up to you and put it on your self its really easy. The hardest part is getting the old one off. Putting the new one on is a matter of tightening some clamps and hooking it up to the exhaust hangers that are already on your car. If you took it to a shop they better not charge you more than an hour labor to put it on because its a piece of cake. You don't have to buy the exhaust system through the shop they will put it on if you bring one to them.
when I do the exhaust on my car I intend on doing Pacesetter LT & ORY with a TSP Rumbler cat-back... do you think I could install all that myself with pretty inexperienced skills... I don't think its impossible I'm sure I could do it I'm just trying to gauge if I want to bother going through the aggrivation or just pay some cash andget it done.... :hmm:
My friend has one on his 2000 Camaro Z28 and it sounds pretty good!
Bouvs, from what i understand installing headers is more than a pain in the ass than anything. I don't think it requires alot of mechanical skill but just lots of cussing and bloody knuckles.
Personally i'd just take it to a shop depending on what they'd charge. I didn't do mine because i got a buddy to do it for cheap. But it will throw a code afterward because you won't be using two of the 02 sensors that normally go in the cats. So you'll need to get it tuned or by 02 simulators.
thanks a lot man I'll keep that in mind if you wouldn't mind giving me yoru take on it... what is your price what would be too expensive in your mind and you'd rather put up with the aggrivation and do it yourself?
I think it would cost you around 500 u.s. but i'm really not sure if you can get it done for cheaper i'd have a shop do. If you buy pacesetters don't use the shitty gaskets they give you buy the metal stock ones.
Pacesetters come with copper gaskets now...:true:
No shit, i bought mine four months ago and mine didn',t but who knows how long they were actually sitting at Jegs before they were sent out.
dang i got mine back in november and they had copper gaskets..bought em from TSP though.
Installation time is about 4 hours for headers and another 2 for the rumbler. This is with 2 people working at it and taking a brake for pizza and beer.
Yeah two hours for a cat-back is a bit long, it should take no longer than an hour. It took me longer because i didn't have a tool to cut the stock one to get it to come off over the axle so i had to use a hack saw.
