There has been so many rumors and things going on with that movie that its nuts.... everything from KITT not talking ... to Michael being frozen and being brought back hundreds of years in the future... etc... at this point I dunno if it will actually be produced.. :( And I was really looking forward to it. Especially with Deavon and William daniels dead.... makes it harder.
You can't expect them to use a third gen for the samereasons they cannot use a 4th. They will need (an go through) several models during the shoot.
I am glad they will not be destroying any f-bodies we as drivers wreck enough of them as it is...

the koenig that is picked for the car reminds me of the Dodge Turbo Intercepter that was used in the movie The Wraith. It seems like they want the same futuristic type of appeal!

i still think the exotic is the right direction. Most likely the movie is gonna be for the "redline" and "F&F" crowd. Fast paced, hot girls, no plot; instant hit with younger generation.
Unfortunately I think you're right... originally they wanted Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zach from saved by the bell), or Paul Walker (from the Rice and the Rediculous) to be the main character.. supposedly Michael's grand son.. or something.

if they play it smart and NOT make it a teenie booper movie, they could set themselves up for good high grossing sequels like X3. good character development story and plot
