What a bunch of Shit, Florida getting in over Michigan. Fuck the BCS.
Hmmm, I am betting you are a michigan fan. I agree with you. I would rather see tOSU go against mich. than florida. Either way Ohio will win!
Time for D1 football to catch up with the rest of the world and have a playoff system to decide the champion ON THE FIELD instead of computers and journalists who never took a snap above pee wee leagues. :)
Why do you want to see the same game again .. Mich. already lost to OSU ....
I guess your just haten' because the SEC is in the Big Game ...
Meyer is a whiny little bitch. You're gonna tell me that Florida is the better team when their loss was by 10 points to No.9 Auburn and Michigans was to No.1 Ohio State by 3 points? That's bullshit and you know it.
Michigan lost to OSU... Cut it anyway you want to.. They had their chance and blew it ....
I am not a fan of Michigan, OSU, or Florida.
I can say this...I wanted to see the two best teams play for the championship. Michigan and Ohio State.
I respect Florida, USC, Louisville, and the other top teams. But to me, they are not in the same league as Michigan and OSU this year.
Florida fan was pulling for them to jump over MU.
OSU fan was pulling for the same.
Very true.
But they lost to UCLA.
I just want to watch that Michigan-OSU game again. :yup:
I hope Florida will keep up with them.
Hypathetically speaking, I wonder after OSU handles Florida rather easily and Michigan handles USC rather easily, if all these so called experts that "voted" to see Florida-OSU play for the NC will rethink themselves and say, wow, it might have been a great game to see Michigan and OSU play each other for the NC on a neutral field. :)
all about the TWO best teams playing each other. Boooo BCS
1 OSU .9999
2 Florida .9445
3 Michigan .9344
4 LSU .8326
5 USC .7953
Loose to a unranked team and still stay top 5??
thats why all this voting is bull shit ...According to the Press. A few weeks ago The Fighting Irish was a lock for the Championship game ....lol...
I don't have a bias towards any of the teams. Oklahoma is the team I support. Had it not been for the crappy referee screw job they received at Oregon, OU would be a conference champ with one loss and a high strength of schedule just like Florida. I just want it decided on the field by the players. Not these jerkoffs that sit and vote. Just because a team is undefeated doesn't mean they are the best team at the end of the year. The Steelers didn't win their division last year, but won the Super Bowl. I could just imagine the NFL trying to pick a champion like the NCAA does, what chaos that would be! I don't recall how many years the BCS has been in effect now, but I do believe that there has been less years than more that the BCS has produced a controversy free champion.
and the Game is on Jan. 8th... thats more than a month away ... There is no telling how/what conition the teams will be in by then ...
Michigan is the better team. But they are not the first team to get f*cked
by the BCS.
same ole shit every year man
Even don't even follow college football and I think it's retarded.
Oh, yeah OSU has already won. They caught the break they needed to win by playing Florida for the Championship. Only team that could give OSU a run was U of M, and OSU is lucky they aren't playing them a 2nd time...
I don't know why the 1-A teams can't do a playoff, the 1-AA teams do.
HMMM seems My Gators dont have any more chance than Texas did last year .....Ohhh thats right Texas won didnt they ....
A playoff system would be absurd. Look at it now every single game matters, with a playoff system that michigan OSU game would not have been nearly as exciting as it was because they would just do it again in the playoffs. I like the system now because if you lose one game your chances of going to the championship are about shot, look at michigan.
Go SEC, Michigan had there chance and blew it. Both teams lost to top ten teams so it how it works out. Even Michigan said they didn't want a rematch, So take it as you may the BCS does suck and we need playoffs but no one listens to us. Ohio is still going to win so who cares.
Check this...
If Flordia blows OSU out and Michigan blows USC out the AP polls have the power to vote a split title between UM and Flordia. The reason is because the computer's already have Flordia and UM tied in points and I think there are more voters in the AP's than the Harris. I'm hoping that OSU wins, but I think Flordia is going to come to play just like we did in 2002. Either way it's going to be a great game. BUCKS-42 gators-24
That was before the game. (Ohio vs Mich) By both coaches. I am sure Tressel
would NOT like a rematch But Carr and his team would and that's all you read about or see on TV here in MICHIGAN . Rose bowl or the national championship game. I think they would rather be playing for the championship.
Seeding wouldn't mean shit because there won't be home field advantages. The playoffs would be played at "Bowl" facilities.
So, no, every game would NOT matter. Take OU, they lost two games and have no chance to play for the title because they lost two games. In a playoff system, they would still have made it to the playoffs and have a chance to play for the title. So those two loses by OU then don't matter really.
That's the beauty of a tourney. One loss should not define your season. Even two losses shouldn't. Also, they shouldn't play at "bowl" facilities. At least the first round should be played at the higher seeds field.
Having a tourney with 16 teams or maybe more would also give the mid-majors a chance to make a name for themselves. Yes, the likelyhood that a mid-major wins a couple games in the tourney is very small. I just think a tourney makes the game a little more exciting.
Why don't they deserve it??
They are the second best team in the country.

Just asking, but how did Ali-Frazier II and III work out? Or that Georgetown-Villanova Final Four?
I know Florida's Urban Meyer doesn't want to see a rematch, but he's not exactly an impartial observer, is he? And if Meyer were in Carr's Nikes, I guarantee you his objections to a second Ohio State-Michigan game would have disappeared.
A rematch, this time on a neutral field, would have been a game for the ages. And if you threatened to take away his precious sweater-vest if he didn't tell the truth, I bet you Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel would rather play Florida than have to face the Wolverines again (Tressel declined to vote in the final coaches' poll).
You are going to hate me by the end of this conversation.
Quote:
No, it didn't. But did you see who did? Team by the name of Ohio State. Maybe you've heard of the Buckeyes? Undefeated. Ranked first in the country. Beat Michigan in Columbus by the grand total of three whole points.
And feel free to show me in the BCS handbook where it says you've got to win your conference to play in the championship game.
Lots of teams have not won their conference and played in the BCS game. :yup:
Just one more....
Quote:
Ask the coaches at Vanderbilt (the Commodores played both Michigan and Florida this season) who is the better team, and the consensus pick -- privately, of course -- is the Wolverines. Florida has more speed and a handful of players to die for, they say, but Michigan is more physical, would control both sides of the line of scrimmage, has wonderful wide receivers, and is led by a quarterback who doesn't make many mistakes.
Ask them who would give Ohio State the better game, and you'll get the same answer.
I am a fan of a GREAT football game. And I believe the game would have been better if we saw the rematch.
Should there be a tournament? I say yes to fix these types of issues. However, with the current system Florida gets the nod and deserves it in my eyes with a stonger schedule, strong road wins, and 12-1 over 11-1!!!
Agreed.
I am not trying to take anything from Florida. They earned it.
But so did Michigan.
I really hope Florida can make it a game. :yup:
Your punishing Michigan because the big ten doesn't have a conference champ game.
Bottom line is the big ten needs a conference championship game. What kind of loop would that throw into the BCS computer system if there was and michigan beat ohio st.. Then you would have Michigan, Ohio St., and Florida all at 12-1. Who deserves it then? Get rid of the BCS please, once and for all.
so if OSU and Mich. had played would BCS still be a 'croc o shit " ???
I already agree that the system sucks. I just feel that Florida deserves it more than Michigan. For a lot of reasons most of which I am not going to name again. Here is another one for you though. Michigan played Ball State and barely beat them. You have to admit they have had a weaker than normal schedule this year.
If Michigan would have beat OSU then... Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
In all honesty Michigan fans quit acting butt hurt about the loss to OSU! That is really what this is all about. You guys wanna see a rematch but your not getting it!:)
Michigan had there shot 3 weeks ago an got beat. Yeah it was a close game in the horseshoe but didn't OSU have 4 or 5 turnovers? Michigan could have easily gotton blown out in that game. I'm not a Flordia fan but I am glad the SEC gets its shot at OSU. Earlier in this post the comment was made about Flordia losing to Auburn by 10 points you didn't watch that game did you guy? The Gators were down 3 an lost the ball on the last kickoff of the game an it was ran back for a td after a failed lateral. Teibow or Havin neither had a touch in the second half of that game that will not be the case against OSU. If you have never been to Jordan-Hare Stadium on a Saturday night for a SEC game trust me its just as hostile as the Horseshoe. Play calling an another officals bad call lost Flordia that game if not for that this would be a mute point Flordia would be undefeated.
The BCS is going nowhere.
The bowls and the events and preparations that go with them are far too powerful of a lobby.
Michigan played OSU and lost, Both Florida and Michigan had one loss. Florida had a tougher schedule, this is the reason Florida will be in the National Championship game. The SEC is the best conference in college football. The SEC has been screwed out of National Championship games and Hesimen trophies. Peyton Manning was screwed out of the Hesimen trophy by Charles Woodson. Go Gators!

You want to talk about the BCS f-ing up. How the hell is overrated ND playing in the sugar bowl??? And why isn't LSU playing Michigan in the Rose bowl after USC lost to a nearly unranked UCLA?
Bottom line
who would give Ohio st a better game Michigan or Florida answer Michigan
who would be the La's Vegas under dog if Michigan played Florida today. answer Florida
But ya never know. Ohio st (sucks) and is the big ten champ and Florida is the SEC champ so game on.
PS SEC is the best conference in college football. ? Big ten also has 3 teams in the top ten with Ohio st as 1 and Michigan at 3(which should be 2 ) Wisconsin at 7:moon:
Go Gators !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
