Mine is $ 882 every 6 months for full coverage. My age is 41 and have one accident, no tickets in the past three years. Deductable is $ 500 and company is State Farm. Seeing how mine compares with other companies, ages, states etc....
2001 SS convertible 6 speed and my age is 37. I pay $442 every 6 months with no tickets and no accidents and also have the wheels insured.

state farm, 28 yrs old, no accidents, no tickets, full coverage, 500 deductable, roch, ny 550 every 6 mths
yeah ive heard its MUCH higher down south....but then again i pay MUCH higher taxes on my house in ny state..bastards.....3200 a yr...its asessed at 92k ...rediculous........oh and state farm is covering my wheels (fikse) and the increased value of the car due to being a LPE car......they made a copy of my recept from lpe and what not....shocking they offered to cover it with no extra charge..love state farm
LMAO..yeha exactly.....nys rapes us.... a friend of mine in tampa fl has a house valued at 260k and he pays 1200 a yr.......its just not fair......a house valued at 260 here in ny would run about 10k a yr in taxes
mines around 800/6 mos. im 21 with State Farm but have a house policy on there too.
$348 / 6 months. Nationwide in North Carolina with comp/coll deductibles of $250/50. In addition to my 00 SS I have one other car and my house insured with them.
I have a 98 Z/28 and mine is only 668/6 months. Full coverage. No accidents, no tickets in last 3 years. But I have another car and renter's insurance through them also. Oh, state farm.
Wrecks stay on your record for 3 years. After that wreck clears off your record, your rates should drop a lot Randy :)
$1266/ 6 months........19years old.....no tickets.......no accidents......so cal..........state farm
$360 every 6 months, Liability+comp, 1 accident, 0 tickets,(knock on wood) 21 years old, Living in DC

$360 every 6 months, Liability+comp, 1 accident, 0 tickets,(knock on wood) 21 years old, Living in DC
in DC??? with an accident?? at 21??? i call bs on this one...copy and paste your statement that says 360..thats insane..is it under your dads name or somthing??? what insurance?
I need to switch insurance companies asap!!!
I was with State Farm for over 25 years. They were good until I bought the SS LE. Then they wanted WAY TOO MUCH!! I switched to USAA and now I carry full coverage, $500 deduct and pay only $62.50 (give or take .50) per month.
Although I've been driving a few days now and have no accidents or tickets...
Mike
Everyone says “full coverage” does that mean collision, comp and liability? The info that seems to be missing is the most expensive part of the insurance, liability - do you have $10k/$25k or $100k/$300k (or any in between). I pay around $530/6mo no tickets, no accidents, 28yr old, with the lowest deductibles in collision and comp ($250/$500, per my bank) but I only have $10k/$25k because I don’t have much else to insure other than the car. I still think mine is a little high considering the perfect record. But they look at many things like your credit and where you live - i.e. accident rate in your area. My rates actually went up $12/mo because they said the area I live in has become a more accident prone now! Thanks Progressive. If anything that should show how good of a driver I actually am, I dodge all those bad drivers!
Iv got three vehicles wit insurance on them, 69 ford truck, 91 camaro, 01 SS. I pay about 600.00 every six months for full coverage on the SS and liability on the others. I have the gecko and the best part is im only 21.
J
I pay $850/year for full coverage for my 1994 Jeep and '00 TA. Liberty Mutual. Have house with them also. I was paying $750/6 months with Progressive! We have 1 speeding ticket the past 5 years. Also, with LM, coverage is 25k/50k vs. 12/25 with Progressive.
I pay 248.00 every 3 months. I am 32 years old, 2 tickets, no acc, 500.00 deduct, and I use Progressive Ins.
About $650 every 6 months no deductable, 22 years old, 2 tickets in past 3 years, no accidents, full coverage, family policy of 3 full time cars, 2 part time stored cars, and 2 historic cars, + house insurance.
State Farm
Just got my bill, $390.51/6 months, $500 Comp. $2000.00 Col. 6 star & I'm 45, no tickets, claims etc, plus insure 7 other vehicles & use the umbrella policy from my house.
I find it high for driving it 1000 miles per year. my other classics are worth more, but only cost around $200.00yr.
I found the only way to keep things cheaper was to start raising my deductibles.
$1080 every 6 months. no accidents one ticket(in a minivan) 21 years old
check this out, i just turned 25 on monday and i just got a renewal for my insurance in today and get this my insurance went form 435/ mo down to 116/mo. i am so happy i think i am going to get that z-06 ive been wanting now
Yeah, I remember turning 25 and the rates dropping. Then, get married and they drop a lot more....also get your house policy for even better rates.
If you have another car that you use as your daily driver, you can get an agreed upon policy. I have one and pay $200 a year with no deductible. There are stipulations though. The car must be in a locked garage at night , 6k miles a year, etc.
State Farm has Agreed Policies here in Ontario, but they only apply them to classic cars. I have these policies on my 66 GTO, 69 Chevelle & 78 T/A. They would not write me a policy on my 02 Camaro, even though I pretty much use it in the same manner as the older cars. My Av is my regular driver.
it seems a little rediculous to pay so much for the 02 when I hardly drive it.
I wish they would do Agreed policies for the newer stuff.
Up till this year State Farm was even sticky about having Historic Vehicle plates on the cars they had Agreed policies on, that seems to have relaxed a bit.
i dont know why mine is so high. i pay about 500 per month, no tickets no accidents, in college ,parttime job and also with state farm
750 every 9 months. 16 with no tickets or accidents. 1997 z28
I have Hagerty and it $520 a year for full coverage great insurance. I have a VERY RARE GOLD Z28 CAMARO 1LE all SLP parts air box jet hot headers loud mouth 3in exhust tower brace short shifter 6 speed and a Baer brakes upgrade. They treat it as collector car:zoom: :ar: MR.LS1
Great rate !! I have to do some shopping around, State Farm isn't giving me any great deal on my 02 & I just got hassled over the 85, 442, all I wanted on it was fire & theft, the car isn't plated & it's stored at the back of my shop. Last year when State Farm changed underwriters in Ontario I got a lot of grief on the older stuff, got sick of filling out forms for them to prove I wasn't using the cars for work, what did they think we had two late model vehicles for ??:brick:
Anyhow, enough griping, good insurance company, but they sure like to charge for the service, I have 6 vehicles and can only drive 1 at a time, but they bill them out as if you are driving them all at the same time ????
My SS is a recreational vehicle and my Mazda P/U is my daily driver. I pay about $119 a month, liability for the Mazda and full coverage for the SS. I am 25, no accidents, no wrecks, Texas here, Farm Bureau.

Ouch, you guys are killing me! :brick:
21 almost 22, no tickets or accidents, $240/month full coverage 02 vert ss
I dont think that the companies differentiate between Z28 and SS. I think that they consider them to be different body styles. I told my insurance company that I was switching my coverage over to an SS, the agent said ok, "chevy camaro Z28".
$100/mon, fully coverage..thanks TEXAS :cuss:
before moving here, it was well under a $1000/year for full coverage in Kansas...
Progressive 1050.00 every 6 mths. but that also includes my 2006 Toy Tundra. That is full coverage with 250 deductible on both vehicles.

full coverage, 500 dollar deductible and pay $548/6 months with Allstate. I also have my house, my truck and my wifes car through them. I pay 286/month for all 3 of our vehicles deductibles and coverages the same.
I pay around 545 for 6 months. Full coverage with 500 deductable. I'm 27years old and I'm with AIS Mercury.
About 370 every 6 months with Allstate, had to insure my house with them to get that rate. No accidents or tickets (knock on wood) for a few years.
i have to reply to this again because i switched companys and it dropped........now i am paying $195 a month........im 24 years old and have 2 points and i had a 6 month suspension 3 years ago...and no accidents.
I am with Progressive,27yrs old, totalled my 2000 Trans Am back in May,00SS and 02 F-150,about $550 every 6mos.full coverage on the SS,liability on the truck.
I pay $1080 a year, full coverage with Allstate. When I had my 98Z is was around 195 a month. State Farm sucks big time. Changed to Allstate this year when I had my Xterra. My insurance dropped in half. I highly recommend Allstate to anyone. Just my .02.
Wow you people make me feel very bad. I live in Taxachusetts with the damn closed insurance system (we aren't allowed to get geico and many others, giving a few companies complete rule over this commie state). I pay $3200 a year full coverage. I am 20, but 0 accidents 0 tickets. My Crown Vic Cruiser was $2400 a year. My Monte Carlo was only $2000 that was the only 6 cyl I ever drove. Covered across the board. I am told it will drop this month somewhat due to the 3 years with a license thing. Then again in two more years. Then some percentage every couple years until they decide they don't want it any lower.
$340 for six months, Full coverage 500 deductable. I get this through Shelter Ins. Company. No wrecks, tickets just three cars Insured with them.
State Farm. 20 Years old 2 speeding tickets, 2 accidents, and 1 seatbelt ticket most are more than 3 years old though. still have 1 ticket. I pay $67 a month with a $100 deductible and all my mods covered. Only thing is It's not my DD so it's considered a weekend driver or something like that so I can only put 7500 on it a year (no Problem)
mines 1350 every six months, no tickets or accidents, sucks being young.
Also, is anyone on her from RI, if so who would you suggest for insurance. It seems like we are lacking in variety of companies
mine is 1660 every six months with one accident and two tickets
I have a Z28 but I pay $1680 a year full coverage with a $250 deductible, 100 mile tow, uninsured motorist and I have 4 points. I turn 25 in 5 mons and I'm getting married in a year, then I really be loving life
I am 36, and pay $265 full coverage every 6 months. No tickets in over 10 years. In fact I have only had 1 ticket in 20+ years of driving, and have had over 20 muscle cars since I was 16.
My insurance on 5 cars for 6 months is $1068 all with full coverage. 2-2006 Kia Rios, 2004 F-150 FX4 extended cab 4X4, My 2000 SS Camaro and my 71 SS Elcamino.
Nice being old with a house discount, multi car discount, good driving discount, and married.
Mine is $1272 for 6 months... I'm 24 1 ticket, and 1 accident. Sucks living in the Bay Area!! Everything is too damn expensive!
I pay $425 per 6 months, 35 years old, no points or accidents.
If I was paying some of the prices you young guys are, I would buy an econobox and a glass pack:hyper:
I'm 27 and my wife is 25, and all I know is I pay $126 a month with $500 deductable on both cars with full coverage for my '98 SS and my wife's '02 Blazer ZR2 with Progressive with a clean driving record. Progressive considers both of us good drivers. If only they knew.
well, IM not full coverage, I dont wanna pay 1,000 evey 6 months, so I pay 456 every six months, with all ut full coverage, and ummm Ive got like 4 speeding tickets, 1 wreck. (the wreck was Bullshit and totaled my car going 25mph lol)
anybody know how long a 1yr suspension hurts for, it was for some child support bullshit ?
State Farm charges me $468.00 for full coverage on my 2001 SS Camaro. That's for a 6 month policy. We have a total of 6 cars covered though, and the house is on the policy too, so there's a bunch of discounts in there. Comes out to $78.00 a month. 1 ticket for me in the last 6 months, no accidents. My wife has a clean record. I've shopped around a bit, and no one else can touch the rates, so I guess I'm getting a good deal.
You folks that drive your car 3,000 miles or less should check into collector car insurance; The rates are much cheaper. I have an 02 Z/28 insured for 11,000 w/1,000 deductable and am paying 220 in NJ. But, like I said I can't drive it over 3000 miles a year.
please don't mention property taxes
mines 660 for 6 months, 21 years, 1 accident, but i dont think its on my record, some crazy loophole where i went without insurance for a year, and my mom didnt have any accidents, then i got back on her policy, i dunno. no tickets. thats bare minimum coverage, Texas, State farm.
I should also mention mines a 3.8
1500$ / 12 months. In Sweden
Full Coverage on my 2000 SS for me (being a 17 year old...) is about $260 a month. :brick:

I pay 120$ a month. 20 years old with a clean driving record. 500 Deductible. All companies have greatly varying rates. For example Geico quoted me at 350 a month. You just have to compare.
$244 every 6 months from progressive. No crashes or cites. I've been with them since I was 17 (31 now). Full coverage. I also have defensive driving discount.
Im 20, clean driving record, no tickets or accidents. I cant find insurance for under 300 a month (1500 for 6 months) anywhere, ive called, and been everywhere online, about 10-15 different places....And thats for full coverage, i live by New Orleans, LA
So i dont have insurance..yet
I just cant afford that.
I'm planning on getting a 2000-2002 Camaro z28 or SS this summer and I turn 18 this summer in June. My insurance right now for my 01 explor is 190. But I'm about to have my coach sign my good discount paper that takes off 50 dollars. I'm hoping it will be under 230 with the Camaro.
$430 per 6 months with State Farm. No accidents no tickets, not a DD, 30 years old. The first SS I owned was when I was 23, back then my insurance was $270 per MONTH with no tickets, no accidents. So yeah age and miles per year makes a huge differance.
I have a z28, but even at age 20, with one accident, in Massachusetts, and I only pay $1700 a year with full coverage. My roomate pays almost for $6000 a year in NY for an Impreza.
Isn't an SS....
But $48 a month on my WS.6.
I pay 900 a year for full coverage. I'm with Mercury Insurance.
About $230 a month
Full coverage on my 02 SS for 6 months is 732. I'm through USAA. I'm 22 and have one accident and 4 speeding tickets. It works out to 122 a month.
22 98 ss 3 tickets no accidents 501/6 months when I first got the car i was paying 1800/6 months with 3 tickets and i'm with progressive it went down a little but it really went down when i waited for my policy to expire at 12:01am and resigned up at 12:10am 9 min later it dropped down 50 bucks a month and my coverage was up to 6 times as much with onlly 500 deductible it was 1000 when i was paying 1800 wierd how things change in 1 yr
but then again my motorcycles with another company so I put on progressive that it's a for fun only car and mileage i put 3000 a yr because i work only 5 miles away i do alot more miles but told them my bike was my main way of transportation
37yrs old, State Farm, $700 per 6 months full coverage $500 ded
I'm with State Farm and I'm only paying $821 for a full year. It is my second car under them, but I'm only 20 so I don't get have the big discounts yet. However, I believe states make a difference, I have 1 ticket (oops 94 camaro in the hands of a 17 year old). I am also good friends with the agent, which helps! Oh yes, Full coverage, BUT I also have a 1000 deductible
I dont have my car yet but I called my agent today and he quoted me $450 for 6 months, $500 deductible. farm bureau, SC , 25 years old, also have my house, boat, quad, and 2 other vehicles with them.
yall got it made, $1578 every 6 months no wrecks or tickets since 03.
but i got it with Allstate, soon to change though.
Adam age 25. I pay $560 every 6 months, with encompass in Las Cruces, NM. Full coverage on my car $500 deductable, and all of my personal belongings i own are ensured as well from theft/damage: Laptop, PS3, Home system, TV.... you get the picture. I have whats called renters insurance on the same policy as my car. I have some speeding tickets dunno if the insurace saw that, No accidents.
I dont know if it has already been mentioned, but moving from an urban area to a rural area will drop your rates quite a bit. As they say, location, location, location.
