Does a Caddy count as GM in your query?
wana buy my car????
Why they would stick a beautiful 6.0 in a ricer (GTO) is beyond me.Quote:

Cadillac CTS V.
jesus how fast do you need to go?
how much money you wanna spend?
cts-v's start at $51K, that's a shitload of money to cruise fast.
I can just see the bitching already
for the money a camaro LS1 or even lt1 is your best bet, tho i dont think you're wanting to buy one, just wondering which car to call out to race

CTSV is too expensive for me. I really dont know much about th GM sportscars. Only that anything with LS1 or better is a monster from a roll. The reason i say the gto is because its got the ls2 in it. If the new camaro was out then thats what i would get. Is a camaro ss faster than the ls2 gto? Stock vs stock? I currently have the evo8 with 340whp. Its fast but only from a deadstop. From a roll its still fast but lacks top end power. I mostly do racing from a roll. So i dont need all the extra features the evo has to offer.

I just wanna pull on just about any stock car and lightly modified car i see on the highway! I want to start with a fast stock highway monster then add more top end power right away.
edit: oh okay, I wondered where you went.
you're nuts to race on the freeway, jmho.
Both the SS and the GTO are speed limited. The GTO is limited to 163mph.
what do you mean by fast??? If you have a 340 awhp evo you are gonna pull any stock ls1 car or the ls2 gto.
I heard somewhere around here that of the f-bodies the auto with 3.23s was the best. It has high enough gears to get decent top speed, but they are low enough to let it pull that high :dunno: Heresay to me though

How much different are they?? I've owned both, and they aren't that much different. 5 to 8 mph maybe? Big f*cking deal at that speed.Quote:

not rice, they are nice but look too much like a Grand Prix.........I prefer the F-bodies for looks.Quote:

My point is this. Does 6 miles per hour on the top end really matter? To me, it doesn't. Get it?
If you want bang for the buck and a damn nice car, go with a GTO. The autos aren't exactly gas-mileage friendly, though.Quote:

LS2 gto - you'll be happpy with the quality fbodies do NOT have :)
SS and LS2 gto run the same times
C.E.R.V. 3... 600bph... never went in to produvtion...
stands for Coperate, Environmental, research, vehicle... top speed i think was 200
725 hp Lingenfelter...Do they count ????
Because I was giving my opinion on post #8, that is why. Also because an LT1 is typically cheaper than an LS1.Quote:

I have not raced many ls1's. I raced a 2000 c5 vette and he slowly pulled on me when i was 220whp with a big boost leak. I raced a z28 with nos with my current power and I slowly pulled on it. Then i raced a ls2 gto and got pulled on slowly. Alot of people say he must of had mods but i think we put down around the same whp and my evo would have slower top end from a roll due to the AWD. But if that gto was stock then i am impressed.:hide:Quote:

gto wasn't stock to pull on you... A ls1 z28 with nitrous will pull a gto pretty good, so if you won against the z28 the gto was far from stock.Quote:

The car would make a ricer piss himself like a Rottweiler would do if he barked at a chihuaha or however the hell you spell that
sorry dude .. the GTO looks like Ice Spirals Toyota with a V8 ...Quote:

and if you got pulled on by a ls2 gto...you need to learn how to drive..or that guy was just better than you. you were probably putting out similar numbers at the wheels, but he probably weight 600-700lbs more than you.
when you shift in your car..are you staying in the power band? you should get some cams and a bigger turbo...evos are highway motors if you can drive.
I already have a set of 272 cams. I also have an aftermarket turbo with lighter internals wich makes me spool 30% faster over a stock evo. I have just about every bolt on there is for the evo. The next thing would be a huge turbo upgrade. But im not gonna go there. My clutch was slipping more than likely. The gto weighs about 400 pounds over the evo.
