welp got a huge reminder of what its like to be used for your knowledge and skills last night. Time to start finding out whom my actual friends are
Damn that sucks.... Well I had a great dinner then message and didn't have to cuddle with my girl!
Happy ending cancam?
Ron - any reason as to why you are not going with the Aster tensioner over the SDCE tensioner? Tried to quote your post in the September train, but it was closed already.
I think this got lost in the Sept train....so.......
I got a couple of questions that I feel I could get a quicker answer here vs starting a new thread for a 2-3 post answer.
NGKTR 55 vs KGK TR 55IX
1) Any difference between the 2 besides cooper and Iridium? What I mean is which one better for me. (Mods in signature) I got TR55 now, but from what I read the Iridium burns hotter and quicker.
2) Is it to soon to change my plugs? Last time was 33,000 (2.5 yrs) ago when I first got her. But at the time she was stock and well look at the signature.
I think most people run the copper plug over the Iridium because of the price difference. The Iridium will last much longer, but they also cost a lot more. It's usually a good idea to change out spark plugs every 30,000 miles or so, but some people are anal and change them out at every 10,000 miles. So with that said, you can see that having the Iridium doesn't benefit you much even though they are claimed to last 100,000 miles. No one waits that long to change them.
I really don't know if there would be a benefit for you to have one over the other with your mods.
I could be way off here too
Sm what future mods do you plan? The iridius run hotter like you said which can also lead to detonation. Personally with the cost and detonation headaches I've had in the past with platinums I just run the copper plugs.
Drat showed up for my job interview 25 minutes early. Guess I'll kill the time on here
Gonna stay on board this time, Carpy? :lmao:
Also, just a little plug for my cousins band. They got a CD out now and there's samples on the site.
My favorites are In Your Hands and Closer.
Candlelight Red | Imagen Records
the one on FB
yeah thankfully it was just my header gasket. why i was so mad is because i was at a local hangout spot and a few of the guy that were there i have helped out NUMEROUS times with out even blinking an eye and now that it comes time to return the favor there no where to be found.
yeah i know you would have  but who knows its what ever.
this should pinpoint the thought process of one of the douch bags that hangs out with them.
he posted on facebook bitching out a guy that had a HORRIBLE wreck at the track last night (bad enough to shut the track down) saying that he ruined his night and started making fun of his car and what not and the horrible thing is that the guy that wrecked might not make it and is still in critical condition. needless to say i strongly voiced my opinion as well as 30 other people.
back from my honeymoon... :D
none of the ones that you know. these are a few people that kinda just showed up (a friend of a friend kind of deal) the guy that posted that on FB is someone that i have never got along with. he is what you may call a "1 upper" meaning he has always done something better then you and that he will always be smarter then you no matter how much you prove him wrong. he is what i consider the true definition of a Douch Bag.
three of the guys that were there when my car broke i have helped out big time with nothing asked in return. i installed two of their nitrous kits FOC and the other i helped do a cam swap on FOC. all out of good faith and i was rewarded by just being looked at when it was obvious that something was messed up. not a single one of them came over and offered to help or to even see what was wrong so i just said F it call someone else when you have a problem. oh well im better off with out them anyways.
Sadly the world is filled with douche bags like that, it never gets better as you get older.
I can count on one hand my friends I can count on. I guess thats why I'm on here alot...
Like I've always said - A good friend will come bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be sitting next to you going, " Damn, that was fun!"
I just drove my friends R6, damn heavy ass bike for me. But I do want a bike now. :(
Hop on my Hog, Jodi :lmao:
Got the puppy back! :)
ain't it a bit early for halloween?
Mornin.
Hola... :)
Oi. Another night done. :sex:
Had an awesome time last night. Hung out with some friends from high school and enjoyed some Dos Equis, and, for the first time, sampled some Jaegermeister and Jose Cuervo. Good stuff.
The sun was out for about 20 mins and now it looks like it's going to rain again. Rained off and on all day yesterday and the day before that. Mother nature must be mad or on her period.
Sun is out again. Mother Nature must be high because she can't make up her damn mind.
She's schizophrenic
Or just a typical woman....:hide:
Walt is 100% correct yet again.
No worries, Jodi. We all know you aren't a typical woman.
Went to Chicago last night in a limo. Ate at a place called PF Changs and then went to a bar called Social 25. Had an awesome time. Just got home from BW3's. Watched the Bears whoop some ass.
Friday night went to a Hawk's game. This weekend has been fricken awesome.
About to take the SS out for a spin as the weather is cold, yet sunny today. Not sure how many more sunny days we are going to have.
Sunday hello
damn it... the weekend is almost over... tomorrow i go in to work and find out that i have to do not only my work that was not covered but also my coworkers job as well... ever want to push a rest button???
Got the 65 wired up today. But the parental unit never showed after telling me he would several times this weekend. Just need a starter and fluids and hopefully I can get this beast fired up.
That sounds like laziness to me. I'm not saying your car is broken...yet. But there are things that work and things that don't work. Iridium plugs have been proven to run hotter than coppers and cause detonation because of that. They're appealing to people who don't like to pay a shop to change "easy" stuff like plugs, but still don't like to do it within recommended mileage. It's like not replacing tires when they get low on tread and saying "I'm fine", but they're the people that end up in a ditch wondering what happened when it rains heavy.
45 minutes for a plug change....hardly difficult. :dunno:
I will not use iridium's in my cars.
Honestly, the plugs aren't that bad. I can do mine in around 20 minutes. Preventative maintenance > fixing something broken. /thread.
That's another thing I love about my car. Everything is in plain sight in the engine bay. :D
My A/C Delete and Coil Relocation make my plug change time sub 5-minutes...I think I spend more time trying to push the wire boot onto the plug than actually installing the plugs themselves. #8 is still the hardest though :brick:
FUKURGTO :D
So I watched the ALMS race from Road Atlanta. There was a story about another ZR1 coming out with lighter wheels and I think other options. Cleared the Nurburgring in 7 seconds. Just when you think the Vette is perfect, other shit is being done to it.
Ah. It's called the Centennial Edition option for the ZR1 and Z06. Very nice!!
I will never own a ZR1
Great Sunday!
Lions, Tigers and Wings win. Good thing basketball isn't playing, lol.
Mornin.
Back to work today. :(
Morning guys!
Hey baby, how did you sleep? ;)
:haha:
I didn't sleep that great. Too much stress.
I SWEAR I had to read your post twice! I thought it said "stretch".....lol
Maybe its time for some new glasses? Lol
:nilly:
Awd and wet grassy fields = fun times :D
Hello all... Honeymoon was too short :) and October is here with a bang that carries an unpleasant aroma, but is bound to look up and we decorated outside to scare the heck out of neighborhood kids... well..Spaz did. LoL... Got to get my hands on a very big and hairy spider for all hallows eve Hehe. So, may you all have fun unpacking winter clothes and may Santa Hallow (If someone got to make up Santa Claus I get to make this dude up for us) bring us all less worries and tons of time for snuggling under warm blankets.... specially less worries. Happy Toothless Pumpkin Month!
Freakin rain........
I need it to cool down to about 60* for my foggers to work really good
Bella we've been working all last week to get the stuff ready to put up. Got about 1/3rd of it yesterday. I'll post pics once it's all done.
I'm never happy till I get either a kid to piss their pants, someone faints, or drops their candy and runs away screaming.
Since moving down here I'm 4 out of 4. :chuckles:
i like te cold at night... but during the day it sucks butt...
Even with a real tire, I think I will be low 11's at best. Someone with a Cobra just posted in here. Cut a 1.74 60' and ran an 11.6 @ 120mph with around 460rwhp. He was a stick. He claimed his best was 11.3 @ 122mph.
I'd be amazed if I broke 10's. Don't think I'm quite there...YET.
Best I've cut is an 11.9x with a 1.6 60' @ around 121 mph. That's at around 450 hp. Jeff did just run a 12.4 on a stock engine though. You never know John, till you run it.....
I know Walt. Scheduling and weather hasn't permitted me to do so. Plus, I don't have tires for a worthy run. I'd be wasting my time trying to run it with these shitty Nitto drag radials on it.
Tell me about it. I couldn't get below a 2.2 60' on my streets. Waste of my tires, but the crowd liked the smoke show
Hmmm is a 1.50 more an hour worth going from a 4 mile commute and not much hours (flat rate) to a 30 mile commute with 4 bucks in tolls round trip and possibly double the hours
I get a 1.00 raise just for moving out :lmao:
Well $1.50/hr more = $240 a month with a 40/hr work week. Take out taxes (typically 25-30%) and you are left with say $168 a month after-tax. Considering tolls of $4/day would equal $80 a month, assuming 40 hours are worked in 5 days. So, just working a typical 40 hr work week you'd be left with an extra $88 more a month.
Now, count an extra hr round trip for your commute from what you have now, maybe less depending on which way you have to travel.
Now if you worked overtime, then you would need to factor that in.
