What did you do with your Trans Am today?

I walked by her this morning and damn cats walked all over her so ill wash her up today or tomorrow. On Saturday she got some new tires in the rear and she'll be getting sfc's sometime next week :D

Looked at pics of it on my laptop, watched the dyno vids from 09', got a few last minute things coordinated with the wife so she can hopefully get it dropped off tomorrow for its cam and tq converter install. I should be home in about a week from now and the goal was to have it ready for my return.

Just bought my first one - I always wanted one since high school

2001 Black Ws6 convetible with 37K Miles. Got it for 13K. I think a pretty good deal. It is completly stock and original minus newer tires.

well mines a daily driver so i drove to work, got off work and took the tops off, turned up my newly installed cd player and front and rear memphis audio speakers, then got irritated with a guy tail gating me getting on the freeway so i got a clearing and romped on it and smoked that ass!!

Drove her today. Did a nice 100 foot burnout, egged on by some people I work with. It was a sunny day today on my birthday, and I did multiple other burnouts at other places. Car gets sideways in 2nd gear on these cold roads....getting my other tires installed soon, it's fun to burn the hell outta the back tires before the new one go on!

Ordered new heads from Texas Speed & got my pushrod length checker via UPS. Once the heads are here, I can start my head/cam swap and the last piece to order will be the correct length pushrods... then a tune.

I don't know why I waited so long to fix the hatch spring. It was frustrating many times over the last few years, now it's :love:

The salt is all gone here now, I drove Too Fast last week when it was sunny. This weekend is a washout, I have a big lake in my backyard currently from over 2'' of rain last night. The sump is working non-stop, and there is 4'' of water in my garage where the cars are :ar: It gets this way 2-3 times a year.

Finally got my tranny mount in so I've been working on replacing it since this morning. The bad thing is I take the crossmember and the old mount off and put the new one on, but its different than OEM and now the crossmember is too far off the bolt holes to bolt back down. Normally I could just put some washers on and be done with it but this is a big gap. So now Im here hoping one of you tech wizards can give me some advice. If I don't hear something in an hour or so I might have to start a new thread.

Try using a longer bolt first to draw it closer, then switch to the original one. You could also try using a bottle jack to try to raise it up.

I guess the battery is finally starting to drain,it hasnt been driven since I let my dad use it 3 months ago,it just have been sitting,but I will probably take the battery to auto zone monday if im up to it,the weather has been real nasty lately so I havent been worried about pulling it out

I took it on various short drives, mostly food-related. Before my late-afternoon adventure, when opening the car I realized I couldn't find the set of keys that unlocks the club. Started calling places to ask if it had been found, then while phoning someone for advice, found it that instant (in the gym bag) as she was telling me I might have left it in a weird place. Lesson: keep the club's keys on two remote units.

I believe the CETAs should have had either no graphics or the full pace car dress. The look from the factory makes no sense to me. I figured I'd run the full pace car regalia first - if I don't like it, I can always take it off easy enough. Not that the CETAs really need much to make them stand out (love it or hate it), but I think it looks pretty cool. My wife thinks it looks like a Hot Wheels car. My sons love it. Drove mine to work like i do every day. However, since it is nice out, i took the longer route just so i could drive a little longer. I was oh so close to taking the t-tops off. It was 42 degrees when i left. Maybe once it hits 50 they will come off :D

Drove mine as well... tops were off on 3/1... tops have been off at least once a month for a drive since it was new. Sometimes it's a cold drive since I'm in Iowa. However, my new heads arrived today from Texas Speed so my head/cam install will start soon after a quick clean of everything.

tried to get the dealership that changed my ignition cylinder to give me a key turns out they can't because they dont have the key cutting. I hate this....shouldn't it be on the vin?

Yep. You definately want the suspension loaded when you install them.

X2 they say place (2) jack stands on A arms and (2) on the inner frame of the rear, with your jack lift 10 bolt til LCA's are parallel then unbolt lcas hand tighten the sfc's place rear jacks under rear end and load the weight while keeping entire car even, torque everything back up

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! 62 degrees here today! Took the winter cover off, washed it up, drove to the gas station,aired up the tires, put the friggin top down, went for a 75 mile ride, then noticed that the damn pass/side door panel split about 3 inches long right by the passenger seat backrest! AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!

Well i did not buy it to look at...I am driving the piss out of it. I had a 1980 TA when I was 18 with the 403 and T-tops, ground effects and the whole 9...paid for it in cash, but could not keep it since I was an 18 year old boy and it was a sports car. Well, that was the reason I was forced to pay $1200.00 a year in just liability insurance. So, I could not afford a car that was paid for. Now that I am 46 the insurance was only $17 more for 6 months added onto my truck insurance.

oh yeah,my driver window went down yesterday and refused to come back up,fortunately i am a former electrical tech,turned out to be a bad window switch,got a new one from the chevy dealer in montgomery,al (they had it in stock!!!!) grand total to fix the inop driver window in my 02 t/a......$15.02 price of the switch and a whole 10 minutes to diag and repair.now if all repairs were this easy.
