For my old camaro there was a part of the bcm I had to solder together to get them to stay off until I turned them on. I would try searching something along those lines and see if you get any results.
is this the same thing you did?

the DRL how-to
Remove radio and unplug the blue connector . I think it was blue if I remember. There are two behind the radio I believe it was the left just unplug and check it. Only took me like.15 min. No need to cut or.ground anything my blisters.and flashes work normal.I disconnected mine over a year ago they look dumb and burn out bulbs faster. That and I didn't them on with the smoked covers and then I swapped in white less.
This is the process I followed. I couldn't just disconnect the connector, because the hatch release doesn't work if you do that and have a manual transmission.

I thought I remember seeing someone post this as a sticky and they used a resistor under the dash where the actual sensor was.
I could be thinking of something else though...it is late and I'm tired.
let me lurk a few...brb
Looks like the blue wire behind the radio works.
Coolio...just skimmed it real quick. Didn't read into Cutlass' post...but I'm sure it's good info...it always is :)
Thats Cutlass to you sir:cool2:. Like the pirate sword or the Oldsmobile car:)
I think the resistor trick is for the Camaro auto headlights and Canadian Firebird auto headlamps. The solder bridge in the DRL module is for the DRLs
If you only unplug the Blue connector and I don't do the solder bridge, Will the brake light go off if im low on brake fuild? i'm assuming thats a totally different circuit. mine is an A4.
ok for some reason the E-brake idea doesnt work hahaha.....on to the hard way lol
