EDIT: It says it landed in water, humans can take that impact don't see why or how it would hurt the donkey. Only real bad thing about this is the actual time spent up in the air. Donkey had to be freaking out which isn't good but see my bold stuff up ^ There for that!
yes, our food processing is terrible. I've spent some time on ranches that actually aren't specifically beef factories. They were set up on an open grazing range, but it was weaning, branding and de-horning and even that disturbed me to see how we treat our food.
This particular story isn't like it was painful or whatever to the animal, but it was completely un-needed and stressful and inhumane. It landed in water which I'm sure didn't hurt. The whole thing terrified the donkey - and not like it was over in a few moments. It was like 1/2 an hour of torturing it. I'm guessing that from the publicity they're getting, that killed their business... we can at least hope that much.
I hope they receive the maximum possible punishment for that.
Looks like the guys were the real jackasses.
The human race as a whole kinda disappoints me.

Not condoning it by any means...but I've been parasailing. And I remember a woman that was up before me. Screaming her mind off like crazy. When it was all overwith, they asked her what she thought. Said it was the time of her life. Being terrified out of your wits isn't torture. It's a type of high.
Only thing I saw torturous about the video was when it took off. Thing could easily have been seriously hurt there. And I feel sorry for any boater that happened to go underneath the thing while it was in the air.
