Who is watching, I bet Snaggletooth is for sure :D
Bradford = fail ...
let me know when they get close to #32.....then I'll go watch. :D
In all honesty I should probably go watch it now and see if they're doing anything different since it's a prime time draft. I know in years past it was like watching corn grow.....only a little more boring.
Can't wait for #11 to see how McDumbass can screw us this year!
NFL what ??? Are they playing tonight?
First drama of the night, da Raidarsssssssss are on the clock :rotfl:
We got a new OT, guy seems to be pretty good, i'm alright with the Draft pick I guess.
My son sits in front of the tube and claps when someone is picked, is this weird?
OK all those "fans" that Boo are simply retarded ...
Stupid Broncos!!!!!!!!! Just f-ing pick Dez Bryant. Jesus! Stockpiling picks in the later rounds doesn't mean dick unless they turn into something(which most don't). They've irritated me beyond belief so far tonight. I DESPISE the McDaniels era here!
I dont see why all the HATE for Tebow ...
Personally, I feel Tebow is an amazing pick up for us. He knows the shotgun and spread offense extremely well and we run that 90% of the time. Plus with Marshall gone, Tebow can run for his life. That's something neither Orton and Quinn can do.
I don't think drafting Tebow is gonna set the Donkeys back.
Not sure why exactly, but I think he will be worth it. Even with where they got him.
I have no evidence. Something just tells me he will be good in the NFL. Everyone projected him to be 3rd round or worse. Seems like a sleeper pick....like the guy that was never given a chance to succeed and comes out with a chip on the shoulder to prove everyone wrong.
Damn, that was too much rambling over something stupid.
Tebow in the 1st to donkeys? That's a risk. He'll be riding pine for two years at least unless he converts to a Safety. Terrible decision.
Congrats to OU. 3 of the top 4 pics is impressive. Where's the NC? AAAAAH HA J/K Y2K.
pleased with my 9ers concentrating on positions that needed to be taken care of. clausen/quinn over tebow imo. nowhere near the money he will get the be sitting the bench to watch quinn take over in 2 years. stupid pick for denver. on the other hand raiders got a solid pick in rolando mcclain. i know, i was surprised too. thanks buffalo for not letting spiller go to seattle. i look forward to tomorrow.
I'm ok with Cowboys pick. I agree Williams will be out after this yr. Also Them picking him up was sorta a surprise to me. Didn't think they wanted another WR.
3 of the first 4 hasn't happened since 1967. 5 of the first 6 were B12 players and I believe 8 B12 players went in R1. Gresham also went at 21, so 4 OU players went in R1, very impressive. Really makes me wonder what could have been for OU this year had the injuries not wiped out 8 starters. Most of the NFL network guys were wondering the same thing last night during post draft wrap up. I hope we get a classic OU-NU war in the B12 title game this year, both highly ranked with a lot at stake.
Just curious, have you heard much about Nebraska jumping ship to the B10, I know they are looking to expand to 12 or 16, and I have heard Nebraska and Missouri as possible teams they have spoken too. Have you heard any of that talk?
If Dez's head is on straight, he can flat out play. If they keep him away from drama and focused on playing, Dallas got one hell of a talented player.
I agree, he needs to stay away from the drama queens and focus only on learning the plays and making the team. Hopefully he learn his lesson with the suspension.
Very boring. No major trades that I know of and after one unexciting pick the Redskins did nothing. Get rid of Campbell already. Tomorrow can't be any more dull.
I don't think so. I didn't know it until after the fact, expecting the usual Saturday start. Also, having drafts when people are at work prevents TV get-togethers of sorts, if they can watch at all. I think the NBA playoffs on ESPN might have something to do with the change.
NU and Missouri moving to the Big 10 is a real possibility. AD Tom Osborne is keeping the option open which is just good business at this point. The Big 10 covets ND but ND's #1 priority is staying independent. It all depends how much the Big 10 will expand. If they only expand 1, 2, or 3 teams then I think NU is gone and ND will stay Independent.
There are a lot of hard feelings still about the initial formation of the Big 12 and how it affected series games like OU-NU. Also, the academic restrictions imposed against prop 48 athletes. The general feeling is that Texas has had too much input at the expense of others. The location of the Big 12 CG is prime example. Apparently, the whorns don't want to play out door football in venues such as Denver and KC in December. Their fan support wouldn't be there. It's no wonder CU, MU, and NU feel the way they do.
As far as I'm concerned, I look forward to the matchups in the Big 10. If it turns out that way then good luck to OU in the Neo SWC league.
concerned about Denver's picks(rounds 2 and 3),a o lineman with b.spikes,t.mays,t.cody still on the board?then follow that up with 2 more o linemen when they need a linebacker and some help in the defensive backfield? and oh yeah Denver has no 4th round pick. hope you know what you are doing Joshie!
Don't forget he also passed over the most talented WR in the draft, most draft experts feel he was a top 5 or top 10 talent, for another WR. I won't even get into the using a R1 pick to take Tebow, who probably won't see much playing time for 2 or 3 seasons. His decisions are being highly questioned at this point.
ND stays independent cause they'd get their ass kicked in the big ten or any other major conference.Tired of hearing and talking about that sissy school.
I'd welcome NU or Missouri in the Big ten...Might finally create some competition for Ohio State and Penn State.
is it me or is Mel Kiper [ or however he spells it ] so full of shit ???
:faint:
The raidarrrrrrs trade today for Jason Campbell from the skins. So the QB competition for the raiders is between Campbell and Russell and Gradkowski(sp). Campbell is better than Russell though. I wonder when the raiders will just waive him. What a disaster.
Russell = QB FAIL..
Russell isn't the first no.1 pick qb to fail.

I agree that Leaf is a top 5 fail of fail, but the reason I would give Russell the nod over Leaf, is Russell got paid a hell of a lot more guaranteed money than Leaf did. Now Leaf did end up in jail IIRC for selling drugs or something. Also, I think Leaf was the #2 overall pick where Russell was the #1 overall. Slight edge to Russell IMO:D
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Leaf picked over Peyton Manning?:rotfl:Oh and didn't the Chargers let Drew Brees go to the Saints.
Leaf was given the largest signing bonus ever to a rookie(at the time). Russel was paid more, but due to economic situations now, the value of the dollar isn't the same. Leaf was said by many "experts" to be as good, if not better than Peyton Manning, when they were both drafted. I don't think Russell was compared to any of them. Finally, stats wise: Russel has played pretty terrible but never has he gone 1 of 15 for 4 yards and 3 fumbles. That's a heck of a game! In 21 starts, Leaf won 4 games. Career QB Rating of 50.0. Russell has a career rating of 65.
It was said during the 1998 draft that the two QB's were inter-changeable and you had a lock no matter which one you chose. However due to his physical build, many teams regarded Leaf as the better QB and able to stand up to more punishment.
BROWNS DID OK, MC COY in the 3rd not bad. don't know how he will do here but we are rebuilding again.:hitfan::squint:
Spiller's gonna tear it up in buffalo. The only sure thing in the entire draft.
And on the Leaf/Russel situation, neither applied themselves, both were lazy and immature. I believe Russel's a better athlete, but Leaf was a better QB...Can go either way. I think Leaf's is bigger because he was the first "sure fire" qb to bust as badly as he did. Since him, there has been a few (akili smith, couch, carr, vick, losman, grossman etc)
carr and smith were in the same situation. looks like bradford will get no protection either. this is alex smith's first season with blockers and when healthy has shown solid improvements. i dont expect him to be anywhere near a top tier qb. he will be average if he continues to take steps forward. keyword if.
as a 9er fan i dont expect him to do will vs sf. a good D vs a rookie qb with a running back as his best target. i like stephen jackson seeing as how he is a vegas boy but having little protection and being the only weapon doesnt bode well for your team.
