I have a bright red Trans AM and I'm going to get neons for it within the next week or so. Which colors should I get for underneath and the inside?
Would any color besides red go with it?
I suppose you could go with a different color since you'd only have them on when it's dark out, but I'd still go with red...

Well I'll admit, I got neon on my 'Maro. I got the car when I was 16, and neon is the coolest thing to a 16 yo. I don't turn it on much anymore...

Please please don't put an underglow kit on it. Fast and the Furious is not the movie to model ur car after. Neons on the inside(or whore-lights as their known in my area) are ok but I would still use them sparingly. If your gonna do it tho its gotta be red any other color will make it look goofy umm goofier.

Hey guys I appreciate the responses that actually have to do with what I asked. But if you are going to bash me because I want to pit neons on a trans am please don't even post anything. I also have them in the footwells, but I agree...the intake is the only place on the exterior I'd put neon...

I personally think they're a terrible investment for reasons other than looks. It's a bulb under your car. A simple rock or loose pavement can shatter it. Replacing it would be headache to do every other month and price would eventually get you mad enough to regret the whole idea.
As far as which color would look best, I'd say blue or purple (if made). But totally up to you.

They're actually made pretty well.
Like I said, when I got my car I thought neon would be really cool, and all of my friends think so. I don't feel the same way so much anymore, and rarely turn it on now. I've had it on there for two years and the bulbs haven't been broken (at least, I don't think...).
I also have a pair of red LED light strips in the footwells, which I really like. I wouldn't go all crazy on the interior, but a few lights are cool.

You might also want to check your local laws. Some places they are illegal to use while driving. You don't want a reason for the cops to pull you over.

Hmm....I personally say do it. It's your car so it's your call. The color is up to you...but the red may work. Besides...it IS what's different that has brought us all together right?
I personally plan to install blue neons in the nostrils and on the underbody.
