Yeap, I remember last year when some of the guys left, not your run of the mill types ( like me) but serious tech guys.. one guy had helped hundreds of members with custom cams, super guy, REALLY knew cams etc... head porting, all for free. They gave him and others such a hard time for helping he left.. That's about when I left..Couple of the other Mods moved on then too. Sorta knew this was coming..

Yea that place is amazing, full of morons, search doesnt work anymore, and they want money for any thing you ask. Let them leave, there being sued now so they deserve it. The main reason I would be on the tech is because of the mass amount of info on that forum, I could basically search like pamela anderson installing a camshaft, and a result would come up. I could search almost anything to find shit and now since the search does not work its fucking useless not to mention my trade rating is useless now to.
All Ls1 type of sites implode and now tech is the newest victim

According to them, the user database came from SSU which IB did not purchase. Anyone registered one Tech after March 2007 didnot not end up on the new site - can I say the name?

I heard that the whole database was copied, and they fucked up the search before they left to render ls1tech pretty useless now since you cant search for any info on the site. They basically took the money then cut the legs off of ls1tech and put those same legs on they're new site thats using the same database and all. They're trying to spread the word around and get everyone from ls1tech over to there new site so they can most likely in future years do the same thing. So that.. is why they deserve to get fucked over.
they created SSU which transferred all the memebers from TECH. now they have planetlsx which transferred all the names from SSU.
Ls1.com is much much better then tech, I do agree on that. But honestly I liked tech for the mass info they had, the point of going to the forum and just searching for ANYTHING and chances are ud get a result of someone doing it before. Now since you cant search, theres no point to go there.

It's funny people always complain about the drama on Tech on this site...
FWIW, I've never had any issues with someone trying to sell me anything on that site. I've also had better luck selling things on that site.
Most of my mods have been bought from sponsers on that site due to the deals they gave me....
It's a shame what has happened but in the end almost everyone has a price and it looks like selling that site wasn't the best decision as far as enthusiasts go
I joined there a little over a year ago and it wasn't bad until maybe a couple months ago...
Every site has drama it just depends on what section you tend to frequent

There is a lot of drama with the mods over there now, but hte site will go on without them.
The site is about the people. If you have a technical problem and need an answer, you will get the right answer on tech quickly.
There is a lot of talented and inforative people over there who are not mods or admin of the site.
Let the drama go on. Doesn't affect me. Been a member on there since 03, been on here since way before the crash. Just never really came back here after the crash.
There are plenty of people on here with knowledge as well.
Why should I go there if I have questions, everytime I got on here with a question or help or need advice I got it.
Never have I had people to tell me to use the search bar or whatever.
People here are much more user friendly.
