Hey i am in dire need of new tires and i thought i might as well put new rims on in the process....I really want to do the whole fatter tire and wheel in the rear and skinner/stock size in the front. I was just wanting to know a good looking rim and decent tire that is fairly cheap that i could buy to put on the car. It is a 02 red ws6 by the way. Ive seen the torque thrust II, but i havent found tires yet..,, and help would be great thanks
if it were me i would put staggered zr1s (alot cheaper than torque thrust) and better looking in my opinion. i would do black zr1s with a chrome lips then paint your calipers red.., front is 9in wide with 275/40/17s and back is 315/35/17 and rim is 11'' in the back. same tire sizes for torque thrust. might not be your taste but thats my opinionQuote:

IMO i like the TTMs alot.. if i had to go with 17s it would be them.. what do you think about them?
On black....I like the polished aluminum basic TTII.
Friend has the silver spoke version (anthricide?) on his silver car and they look great!

well all of your "good" tires are gonna be expensive.. you got your nittos and toyos and all that stuff. i run bridestone potenzas on mine and they hook great. my buddy has them on his gto and they hook great also, even tho theres a big size difference.. mine=305s his=245sQuote:

they will with slight modification... the rub on the inside, you just gotta beat that metal back with a hammer, that may not be the best way to do it, but you cant see it and it works.Quote:

tt II's in 17" are 9.5 and 11, tt m"s are 9 and 10.5. i have seen tt II's with the spokes painted or powdercoated, depends how much $ youre looking to spend. a 1/2" extra room in the back would help clearance but some dont like the look of the tt m's. you might want to plan ahead if youre doing red calipers on a red car, if you use the wrong shade it might clash like crazy [if that matters]. thats the fashion tip of the day.Quote:

yeah the m's are one flat lip, II's are two steps. i got the m's so i didnt have to spend time on that polished aluminum, its enough trying to keep the bike and the car clean, i didnt need that yet. and mine came with american racing caps.Quote:

Oh dklowrider..you said you have the M's, what was the offset you got. im not real sure which to get for mine..what looks the best?
45mm offset/6.89" back spacing front, 44mm/7.55" rear. thats 9" and 10.5" x 17" respectively. if i remember right, for our cars' bolt pattern they only offered with this offset/back spacing. havent mounted mine yet, i thought id do it all at once: umi 3 point sfc's, alca's, spohn aphr, f+r sway bars, kyb shocks. i took tire racks' advice on fitment of tires before i found this site and ended up with 245/45 and 275/40 tires. wee'll see how they look.
