Title says it,
What Mitt or ''Towel'' do you wash with?
Me- I use a 100% Sheep whool wash mitt, its ''ok''
And what do you use to dry with?
Me- A Amorall Drying Towel. And finish up with a 100% cotton towel.
Looking to see what is more popular, i have yet to find a good drying towel. Nor wash mitt.
A Toro Blower first, then 100% cotton towels with Z6.
Ive used a Leaf blower on the egine bay.. but on the body, wont it leave water spots?
Yes, but that is why I use a towel with Z6.
The blower gets the bulk of the water off and the water in the cracks.
I use a Cobra microfiber wash mitt with Duragloss or Pinnacle car wash via a Pinnacle "foam master" foam gun. I dry my car with Cobra waffle weave microfiber.
i use the regular ol mitt along with meguiars car wash (its the best soap ive found)
You havnt used Zanio i guess..
I too loved Meguiars Gold class Carwash..
Untill i found Zanio.
Sheepskin mitt.
Meguiars Gold Class for the daily drivers and Victoria's SuperWash or Duragloss for the T/A.
Dry with Sonus waffleweaves.

I just use microfiber towels to wash and dry with. If im feeling froggy i use the leaf blower..

Tropicare/ Prima Waffle Weaves
I use a chenille wash pad and Mcguires Gold class to wash, Cobra waffle weaves to dry.
wash with rain-x self dry(helps with water spots) and a microfiber shag type mit then normal mit...
dry the excess off with a CLEAN waterblade, and follow that up with a microfiber towel
No waterblade will touch my car ever.
I bought the water blade, i liked it, before i would use it, i would wash it off.. but one time it cought a pebble of sand or something, and put scratches al over my bumer, so towles ftw!

Why waste money on towels when you can spend $30 at home depot and get a leaf blower? Then just micro fiber the excess up. No water spots.

I like to use the "do-it-yourself" booths at the local car wash so I dont have to touch the car at all. Then my preferred method of drying involves the highway (on ramp is like 200 ft from the car wash) and ~120 mph. Does the trick every time. :zoom:
i've heard that high pressured water is not good for the paint and i'd say the soap they use at those isn't very high quality but that's just me

The high quality spray booth areas have a low pressure spot free rinse(lower than a water hose pressure). I usually grab my mit and some meguiars and a bucket and go there when the weather doesnt permit(IE, muddy at home..icey etc etc)
Dawn dish soap if your going to wax the car because it gets all the old stuff off. I use Meguiars Gold Class which works amazing and i used Zanios stuff and i think its just as good. To dry use Microfiber towels or i now use Shamwows :D and god do those things really work like they say in the commerical.
Dawn will never be used on any of my paint.
Take the proper steps, and you won't need it.
Plus, why strip protection??? You can layer wax.

absorber=swirls in my experience.
i think anything you use can cause swirls if you rub the wrong way. I have used the absorber for over 10 years and never seen it cause swirl marks. When I dry though I make sure all the water is rung out of it and I lay it on the paint. Let is soak up the water well and then lift it up, no rubbing. Its usually dry but if I need to I will follow up with a microfiber very lightly.....I personally like the absorber a lot but am always open to new techniques or products...I think one of the problems that people have is that they think pushing harder dries better. Kinda the same thing with brushing your teeth....brushing them harder to get them "cleaner" is actually worse then brushing them softer and using better technique to remove the crap on your teeth....just my thoughtsQuote:

Leaf blowers are a bit awkward to use , Heres a great tip I use, If you have a shop Vac that you can attach the hose to the blower side it works GREAT much easyer to use and dose a better job. ZERO spots. Also try a soft brush with a long handle on it, like a boom stick I think its faster and works better .
Exactly my technique. I think the Zaino wash soap has alot to do with keeping the spots off. Also, my outdoor faucets are hooked up the the water softener, some aren't.Quote:
