:lmao: Cool beans. I went out to the track again tonight for the first of many Wednesday night races. Had a huge turnout for monster trucks. Had 3 little kids and 3 slashes on the course, I was able to pull 2nd. I tried lipo power for the first time tonight, pretty wild difference. Definitely gonna have to switch over.
couldn't afford a slash 4x4, would've got it or a new e-maxx (have a shit ton of maxx parts) if I could
LHS here sells the RTR Slash 4x4 for 370 out the door. Real good guy and 9 times out of 10, he beats towers price on the shelf, don't even have to question his price.
Only had 340 saved up, tower wanted 280$ for mine (too high) but have a 35$ discount on orders over 230$ right now and their overnight shipping was way cheaper than others. Should be here friday
I want a Sand scortcher, and an vintage Monster beetle, and vintage Boomerang.. But when I get rolling on Egay I get into trouble with the wife.
I was going to build one of those reproduction frogs or hornets because they're cheap and shouldn't break (aka slow). But I knew I would get bored and do something like throwing my evx esc and two batteries in that hoe. Would be like a ten bolt behind a 472. Zapper, all the hobby shops round here are twats, forget a reasonable price or price matching. I skipped the kyosho db for local parts availability
Fuck I'm bored. Head still has a huge lump from the *slip the other night. couldn't feel worse.
Depressing day today. The great-grandmother-in-law (who had a near photographic memory up until a month ago) is getting worse. She's always been funny as hell/really nice to me.
Anyone else watch Futurama? "Hell is Other Robots" is on, one of my top three favourite old episodes. Any thoughts on the new ones they're making now?
A prayer goes out to you and yours man.. I had a Great Grandma that was 100 when she went home to green pastures. I still sometimes sit and think, "MAN the things she must have seen and experianced in her life time.." Considering 100 years from the time of her passing (1985) they were still using horse and buggies to get around..
Thanks man, we really appreciate it. She's gone down so fast, everyone's kinda in shock (yeah, we all know she's 97 *turned 97 on the 8th* but she was able to get around good/had a great mind) She could remember stuff all the way back to 1916 (up until a month ago) when her youngest brother was born, at home-by mid-wife, she was 3 then. She's always been really funny, a real hell raiser, nothin' she won't say or try to do, lots of great stories. :lmao: We're still hoping that they can get her meds straightened out and she'll come around. She's still physically pretty strong, so we're all hoping and prayin' she'll snap back.
WOW her birthday is my daughters birthday.. She turned 3 on the 8th.. My wifes Dad (in pretty good health) has changed so much in the past 6 years.. It's crazy how fast things can turn when you get up in years... Your Grandma sounds like a great lady to be around..:yup: Spry grandparents always make me laugh.. They always have a way of making things alright..
Yeah, they do :yup:. She's an in-law, but to me she's another grandma I just didn't get until later in life :yup: she even makes me a cake on my birthday. :xfingers: Hope she can snap back. My daughter's birthday was yesterday, 14th (she's 6) though we had the big shindig at Chuck-E-Cheese for her Saturday. My nerves still haven't recovered :lmao:....
