Just pick up a used pair of FRC's for $50 off ebay.
I'm going to have to fill in and paint 'em, but still :nana:
I used some foam tape I found at the hardware store for the top and sides, and on the bottom I used a black piece of heater hose. 4 small screws to hold it in place, it still looks good. The foam, however, needs to be replaced and I may put some more heater hose on instead. It sorta springy and seals decently.
Sure. Just as much as a non-baffled.
FRC?

Took the cover off and sighed.
Forgot it got alittle dirty from last week, seriously debating paying someone to clean it for me. Have to pick someone up for a wedding later and the Jeep is on my shit list. Probably just needs quick detailer, but still not in the mood.
<- Lazy ( = wedding + now work today)
Am I the only person who thinks there car is never clean?
Took a nice 800 mile cruise on Sunday/ Monday to Carmichaels, PA and back to Kearny, NJ. Averaged 25mpg's doing 75-80 all the way out and back. Got "lobster-ized" on the way back, drove all 400 miles with the top down. Paying for it now, though. :mommy: Just turned 49,300 on my return. Going to HATE goin over 50K! Probably won't use the car much now til the TA Nats. Got my room reserved, just waiting for the Goodies from the show. Unless there are some nearby cruises to go to ( Staten Island, Wrong Island, eastern PA, etc.) :yup:
finally sanded the SLP off and painted my Lid. NOw just need to find a good bird decal for it.
Tires balanced, right rear tire leak fixed. Putting some gas in it.
Thanks man, much appreciated. Fond of yours as well.
Not even close, I feel that way 2 hours after I attempt to clean it.
Or draw one, had my girl do it and it turned out awesome, check it out. :)

Got new shoes for the rear. Went from Sumitomos to Toyo Proxes R888 315-35/R17's. Now it's time to cut the grass, Happy Fathers Day all.

Fair enough, but yeah it was pretty cool. I found two pictures on the computer, and she traced them off the monitor once they were blown up, then measured the lid and put it on a bigger sheet of paper actual size, then just drew lightly and colored it with a paint marker. Looks sweet. Throw a clear coat spray over it and you're good to go! :drunk2:
Anybody know what I can use to fill in the Corvette on FRC's?
will it hold up to the heat cycles or not crack over time?
how would JB weld bond to composite plastic?
I also planned on using the heat tape.
Ordered a new upper radiator hose for a Camaro. I am ditching the P.O.S. stock power steering cooler setup.
Gave her a bath and swapped sneakers for the show this weekend:

My ceiling if 14'....I don't think the wife would allow me though.....
I've been thinking to find an old gas station or a old warehouse and buy it so I have a work shop so I can have my own play house. But damn this economy is a killer.
......stared at it longingly,
wishing i had about $10,000 exta to go forced induction right now lol
got a turbo and some intercoolers... that it though lol
Took it to inspection actully.
Gotta get the powersteering boot fixed/replaced, headlights adjusted, and the right rear parking brake needs to be adjusted. Which actually suprised me.
thanks guys, did the bird on the fron t bumber but i messed it up, had to take the paint off, that bird is a pain to tape up.
Jeff I like the Bogarts. Theyre the same ones we used to have on our lightning.
Anyway, I went to do plugs. Had all 8 out in 15 minutes from the top, not to bad if I say so myself. hah. But then I found out I dont own a plug gapper. After looking at the old plugs it looks like they were never gapped either. Im guessing having them opened a little more to spec will help a little bit. They did have some oil on them, im guessing valve seals, it never smokes and all cylinders were between 117-125 psi compression.
I set a record once while changing plugs.....the amount of cuss words one can utter.....
new (to me) wheels this weekend:
chrome c4 ZR1s w/ WS.6 center caps!

Kerse, those look nice also you don't see to many hardtops anymore.
EEK! started sanding and fiberglass repairing my WS6 style hood (aftermarket) so i can get it ready for paint.
this was in the mailbox today ::shitstorm: it is to replace the FUGLY blue and yellow plates that NY has moved to. i was able to get a custom yankee plate and it was worth it.

Walked into the Garage, installed my new decals, shampoo'd the carpet, realized i was out of gas, so i took a cruise down the valley to fill it up, and as it cost ~80 bucks, i will let it sit in my garage just a little bit more haha
good thing my DD is a firebird!
wife just called me to tell me my shifter is here.
screwed with my exhaust, some welds broke and my driver side tip wont stay in the hanger....
Got the PRO 5.0 installed. Only thing I forgot was to re-install the rubber boot screws. Oh-well next time.
What a difference. It's going to take a few trips to get use to it.

Dumped $200 on detailing supplies, not including the porter cable I bought a few months ago.
Going to do a test run on the GTP tomorrow with a simple wash, clay bar, and and waxing using the PC.

took off my side trim, looks a lot better and will be easier to wax. debating whether or not to remove the Trans Am badges too
put GM black CE trans am letters on the door to replace the silver ones. looks 100x better!!!
Put the drag radials on the car last night, hooked up a lot better on the street. We will see how it does at the track Friday night.
I will be going to Numidia friday, last year i went to Island dragway in NJ.
Every friday numidia has street legal drags, i'm hopeing to sneak into the 11's this year. I dont want to push that little 10 bolt to much though lol
Painted my new(used) LS6 intake in preperation for the LS1-LS6 swap, carefully disconnected all lines/hoses/wires behind the intake and I swear the OPSU was broken before I moved the intake:rubeyes:, no one has one in stock of course, so now I wait 'till tomorrow to finish the project.
Picked it up from the exhaust shop
Soldered up my BCM, couldnt get the box to sit back in the dash right, but my radio stopped randomly turning off.
walked into my garage only to realize my black T/a is dirty just from sitting there after yesterdays wash.. today, both birds get a new clean! also changing a turn signal in the ta
sub frame connectors and adjustable lower control arms.

did I put 'saudered' instead of 'soldered'? :nilly:
Drove it to work today without hearing/feeling the annoying clunk I was getting from a torn transmission mount. Replaced it last night. It's nice going WOT without worrying that the transmission will jump thru the floor!
drove it yesterday. a little squeak coming from the rear. Still need to put on control arms, adj phb, lca relocation brackets. Also noticed a tick coming from the trans when i got home. not sure about that, gonna change fluid and filter
Jacked the bird up and installed lower control arms, relocation brackets and a panhard bar. took about 3 hrs laying on the ground with my small amount of handtools, lol but i got it done. noticed my pinion seal is leaking, so i guess thats next on the list.
Went 11.96 @ 113.8 with a 1.7 60ft tonight and didn't blow the rear!
^^ first 11 sec run?
