Actually, it's my Alpine. My kicker is an older amp and isn't digital and is working fine. As far as I can tell the new digital amp circuitry doesn't like any extreme temps. Cold or Hot. Was talking to my bud that does home theaters and car audio. He says it's common :shrug:

Mine has never gotten too hot. It's down in the bottom of my t top well under the box. It's not insulated enough and obviously is getting too cold. It's not 19 degrees without wind chill in your area :slap:

It's the V Power series 4 channel 400 watt

Although it seems 450 is the max on the amp, but according to how it splits it's not a true 450.
My Kicker is a 400, but really puts of 475 according to the testing :shrug:
