Back then, that was not bad at all.

1987 Cavalier Z24. Blue on blue, digital dash, 2.8 V6/auto trans. Quick lil car. :yup:
Usually drove the 96 bonneville SSEI, but had access to
02 Powerstroke, 79 elcamino, or a 95 gran prix,
then i bought my trans am my junior year... it got drove till weather would get bad then the bonnie would come back out....

this car died just after college when its rebuilt trans gave up the ghost at about 155k miles.
72 camaro, my toy, DD was a honda accord.
my '72 c10 short step, huggar orange, cheyenne super with power everything, a/c, 3.73's, one wheel peel (embarrassing) and a 350/350 drivetrain. Finally running good (and strong) with the carb rebuild and ignition timing changes from yesterday
Not a great deal because it doesn't run. BUT, it's not like it's gonna cost 50million dollars to get it running again. AND I want a fun car to drive thats why I want the T-5 i know it's a crappy tranny dude, I just want to have fun driving. Manual makes driving 2x as fun imo. If I did get it and started modding it I would swap it out for something better. But that wouldn't be for a while. At the moment I just want something smaller, quicker, and most importantly more fun just a better ride too and from school. Mods don't mean much to me at the moment, just wanna start havin more fun drivin man.
I walked to and from school everyday about 5mi eachway I didn't mind it kept me in shape though I was a little jealous of the rich pricks driving their cars to school everyday.
Didn't get my first car till college and then ran through about 4 cars in a 2 yr span.
1982 F-250HD. Had a 400 big block in it. 4 speed manual. Lots of torque, no HP. Wasn't mine, but learned to drive on that.
1987 Pontiac Grand Am. Pile of junk, but it was my first car.
1995 Pontiac Grand Am. Also a pile, but it had a kickass system....
The t5 is a great trans.... Nothing at all wrong with the design. Its a pos when people throw more torque/hp at it then what was intended and kick the shit out of it. I dont powershift my car and my t5 handles the 310 cubic inch h/c/i engine pretty well. However, if i had really sticky tires and i powershifted it, yes it would grenade. But its rifle bolt precise with the steeda shifter and yeah, i'll replace it when i break it
I drove a 1968 VW Bug that I bought from a guy for $300, had to tow it off the side of the road to my house. Put a fiberglass baja kit on it, big wheels and mud tires on back and built the engine (my first) had I believe 92 MM pistons, full race cam and a holley two barrel on it. That car would pull the front tires off the ground ...man was it fun to terrorize the town in
