This is all a question of your point of reference. I mean, if we are looking down the barrel of the slightly single-minded yet (supposedly) most fair judicial system here in the U.S. of A., then yeah, the cop is in the wrong. He was not wrong to restrain her, but the punches thrown when she was down on the ground was probably not a great idea.
But if we look at this dillema from a broader perspective, what do we see? We see a 15 year old skank whose parents have obviously raised wrong. She breaks the law, and a man helps make our society more civilized. Unfortunately by beating her he only strengthened the cause for those who support reparations for this country's slaves' posterity, and furthered racial tensions (probably) across the United States.
So where do we stand? In exactly the same spot we were in before this happened. It doesn't matter. These are modern times and I guarantee cops across America have beaten the shit out white people and black people alike. Frankly I don't give a shit if one 15 year old black smartass got her ass kicked. Sounds like she deserved it. I guarantee the media wouldn't have blown it up though if it was some white girl.
