Tore apart the picnic table that has set out back for umpteen years without being used once that I can recall. No more having to flip it over to mow the yard. Just after I got started on it, I heard the rumble of a motorcycle in my driveway so I took the crowbar for a walk up front... you never know in my line of work. Installed the new P/S control valve on the Corvette. Will fill and bleed the system tomorrow and see if everything checks out.
Nice night for a ride.
Hit a damn bat on the ride home.....fucker took me right in the chest. I thought I swatted him off me but he crawled up my god damn jacket and I felt him at my neck. Had to PULL him off my damn jacket!
Well fuck fellas. I was in mansfield from about 8:30 til 10ish gettin' some groceries..
Did you get out of there like a bat out of hell?

Looks like I've got a house to close out this Sat. morning, Jeff. I should be home around 1 though. Wasn't sure how you wanted to plan to meet up, or if you were still thinking of coming out Fri..
Probably trip out Saturday morning and meet you at Norwalk. It'll be a 6 hour ride, and with a grub stop we'll probably get there about the same time as you. That sound ok?
That's good with me. I figured it'd be a bit out of the way to get to my place. I've got your #, and you've got mine, so we shouldn't have a problem meeting up. Weather looks like it's going to be perfect. Should be a good time.
Morning... :nilly:
There is actually some good weather today
ugh... i don't want to be at work and i don't want to be at home either... wtf...
i wonder if anyone has a "coma vacation" package... wake me up in a few years...
I don't want to go home tomorrow. But back to Okiehoma I go. :(
I installed the new P/S control valve on the Corvette last night. Haven't re-filled the reservoir yet and there is already a puddle on the garage floor under the car. :wtf:
Didn't that happen last time too? I swear I've read that exact wording from another post a long while back.
I think that's in his WTF why does this car hate me thread :)
Must need Depends :rotfl:
Why?Quote:

geeeeeez
That car doesn't like you Jeff.
Going to remove it tomorrow night to see what is going on. Means it'll be at least another week or more before we can get her back on the road.
Verizon to drop the unlimited data plan, even for grandfathered in customers.
It was only a matter of time.
Well that blows goats. I don't use mine a whole lot, but it was nice not to have to worry about it.
Mornin.
Happy day. They should be oiling our road this morning so we'll be able to keep the cars clean this summer.
I don't ever exceed 2GB monthly.
I've only gone past 2 gb once, kinda surprised myself
:suicide:
I connect to my wi-fi anytime I'm home and if I'm out somewhere where I know I'll be on the internet a lot, I'll search for a mobile hot spot so I'm not using my data usage.
Sprint still has unlimited data for now.
Has anybody received their Carlisle window sticker in the mail yet?
Nope not yet. If I remember correctly last years didn't come until sometime in June.
spazpalooza thread is in full effect... :woot: posted in eastern section...
If that fucking shop doesn't give me my car today, I'm going to be pissed in full effect... I hate fucking shops. I knew I should've just googled my way through fixing my diff.
/rant over.
:Potty:
I have been waiting six weeks to get my transmission back from the shop just to have a shift kit installed:cry:
Washed the car, cleaned the wheels, tires, interior, cleaned my clubs, clothes are ready for tomorrow..........golf tournament and 3 days of free beer here I come. :)
At least they are my own and not someone elses. lol

TGIF! Been a long week.
Just got a call.....my brother lost his battle with cancer last night. In the end, it's a better thing I guess.
My condolences, Walt. I'm sure he was a good man and taken too soon.
Sorry to hear Walt. Condolences to you and your family.
Sorry to hear Walt, thought and prayers to you and your family.
My condolences Knight. Even knowing its coming doesn't prepare for when it happens. I'm sorry for the loss of your brother. I have two I'm very close to so I can only imagine..

Thanks, everyone. Spent most of the day getting everything arranged and taken care of for my sister-in-law.
Got all the stuff I ordered from Performance Years Pontiac today..I ordered it Wednesday night after the shipping crew had left, so it didn't ship til yesterday. Got here today. :woot:
quick question for you all that understand the bottom end of these cars more then i do. i will have to bore the block on my car at least .10 over and will need pistons i want to go back with forged ones but the numbers are french to me, i also have a guy that has a 408 stroker kit and wants to trade me for a few things i have but the pistons he has are 13.5:1 yeah going to need something WAY smaller then that for a dd looking for a set that are around 11.5:1 but not sure what head gasket or or anything. this is my first go around with the lower end on these type of motors
Suburban is washed, cleaned up and ready to roll in the morning. Even have a couple of orange sodas ready for the cooler...

Good friends stopping by all nght. Was nice to sit out in the garage and relax and bs. Kept my mind occupied. Tomorrow should be fun. Jeff, have a safe trip out and I'll catch you guys tomorrow.
I aint got shit around for tomorrow :lmao: I'll be there with time to spare, Jeff.
My new brake pads and rotors showed today, now I need to figure out what color to paint the calipers. I'd like to paint them to match the color of my car but I don't think the paint will hold:(
I still haven't painted my calipers, can't figure out color either. Red car is difficult.
Powdercoat would require the calipers to be rebuilt and I don't want to do that.
Jrbonds- I'd much rather have a red car right now then this bright blue metallic.
My 65 mustang is pretty much bright blue metallic. I love that color. I can always change things up and make odd ball colors work. Currently i've got bronze-ish maybe gold thing going on. But red? Wth? Silver or red. Thats it. Blah.
I honestly think dirty stock is working just fine. Lol. I don't think about it to much. :DQuote:

I painted mine 3 years ago -- still look great.
A dirty sock is not a safe form of birth control... at least that is what Dan told me.
Mornin.
My condolences about your brother Walt :(
Thank you, Carpy.
Mornin.
What an awesome show yesterday! Top fuel nitro funny cars, gassers, 300 mph jet cars, and a jet Kenworth that runs the 1/4 in 7 seconds at over 200 mph. I wonder if Jeff, Zap, and Zap's dad managed to recover......
Bob Motz's last run from last night. I think Jeff and Zach had all their hair burned off - they were near the back of it.

Damn it's hotter then Satan's balls today....
Sorry for your loss, Walt. Glad you guys had a good time this weekend still.
If you can see it, just to the immediate left of the truck is a balcony with some railings. Jeff and I were at the far end of said railings. After the lights went out and he 'flared' the back of that fuckin' thing, we stepped WAY back. The heat was tooooo intense to stand so close. The video does not do these things justice one bit. The concussion when they light the fires is just INTENSE.
Went to Summit's store today.. got me some shiny bits. What you can't see is the full Pypes exhaust system in the brown box behind. Just gotta order some adapters and the T/A Splitters and i'll be good to go.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Walt. Again, thanks for the tickets to the event. Well worth the trip.
I hauled the T/A down in the trailer last year, but had my brother there to help unload and load the car. Probably not going to mess with the car this time.
Incredible show! Thanks again Walt for having us out -- well worth the trip out and back. In my vid of the truck, you can see me bailing the hell out of there when the afterburner lit off. Going to have Dawn paint on some eyebrows for me tomorrow before I leave for court.
Thank you Jon, and Zach.
Glad you guys were able to make it out and enjoy the show. It was odd to see Dan's girlfriend there.......
Scott, he ran the 1/4 mile that night in 7 seconds at 204 mph.
Hmmm. Maybe I missed this. Two lumps... or three?
I passed her off to Dan, Jeff. I'm sure you remember the 'older' lady walking around under the grandstands...
